What's new

Locke tweeted Favors is starting tonight.

Successful people tend to have a game plan they stick to even if it doesn't work in the short term. It works better than reactionary, disrupting, knee-jerk reactions.

I agree. I will not argue the point. I am just saying that wether we like it or not Corbin is the coach and I do not see that changing. So I am trying to stay positive.

Edit: I do not feel that your response truly applies to Corbin. Doing this a month or two ago would not have been a knee jerk reaction.

I laughed aloud when I read this. It took Corbin this long to start Favors. Let's see what the beast-child does. I'll guess 14 points, 13 boards, 2 blocks.

He will be super motivated. I'll call out 18 points, 16 boards and 5 blocks! Go big or go home!!

Please, Favors...just stay out of foul trouble. Prove to Corbin he should have done this the entire series :p

But announcing early today that the big three are starting placates all the fans who have been clamouring for it. It might help to sale a couple thousand extra tickets and create a bit of excitment in the arena for what is sure to be the last home game this season.

Corbin saw this lineup worked LAST YEAR. Smart people go with what works, especially when they have seen it work. Corbin should have started the year with that lineup. That's his problem.

Seriously? What about the previous 3 games would lead you to expect a different result sticking with the game plan? The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

I've never read the art of war, but, I'm doubting it recommends to keep using a formula that is resulting in you getting your *** handed to you every time you try it.

Or maybe they just realized that nothing else was working, and this is likely the last game of the season, so why not try our best lineup. KOC might also what to see how Favors responds in this situation before he makes potential major off-season moves.

He missed a lot of shots last game that he needs to convert on. I can just see the faith Corbin has in favors dropping after he misses those shots. But big al gets a free pass with no matter what performance....

I also posted this in the game thread on the first page, an hour earlier than you did. Nice try, guy.

Glad you are remarking your territory. These whippersnappers will try and steal your thunder.

There was a time in the season that starting Favors was questionable, but I think we all wanted him to start a month ago. Let's be honest though. We all knew there was no chance of the Jazz beating the Spurs. Successful teams against the Spurs this season outscored them by shooting 48%. How was Corbin really supposed to plan a single win against this team that didn't feature Jefferson and an offense that actually ran plays, let alone very efficiently? There weren't a whole lot of options on the table.

Us fans accepted the losing but wanted to see closer parity which Favors brought. Corbin would not accept losing as fans have and wanted to do what he thought gave the Jazz the best chances even if it meant getting blown out if his plan didn't work out. And let's face it, the Jazz players have been nothing short of horrific (DAMN YOU HARRIS!).

Anyway, I'm as glad as anyone else that Favors is starting.
