Not to get in the way of the religious slapfight (which always goes somewhere), nice mention in Stein's article today that there are already contingency plans to preserve the 82 game season. As a die hard optimist, I'm not satisfied with a partial season. I want the whole thing and it's nice to think that if the mediator can help Hunter save face to accept a deal we can still have the whole 82.

also there is one big problem today. the nba players think they are the product they dont care about team/teams. some fans also dont care about teams.
but this league is turning into a indivudual league. the nab team game seems dead. its a pity after a team won the championship versus 3indivuduals we would think we would move away fom this me me me me crap.billhunter said in an interveiw the players are the product so they deserve more blah blah. if he thinks that he has no clue. and he should quit.
the TEAMS are the product not the frickin players.
but in all i think there needs to be a mentality change in the nba away from the me mentality.
on a side note this me mentality is not only limited to the nba but everywhere in society is see the me me me mentality. it;s a pity

That's the sad thing. How do the players not see that they have a losing hand? I'm on the owners side, but what about all the minimum contract guys that are making more money than they ever will for the rest of their lives? It's now or never for them. Yet KG and Kobe want to play hardball because it doesn't matter to them. They've made their money and probably would enjoy the rest.
You make it sound like they were getting payed minimum wage. I think the minimum contract was around 800k a year? They will be fine unless they are completely irresponsible with their money.

.....do you know how much child support payments are these days??? Not to mention the need to trick their ride, tattoo their bodies, and tip the girls at the strip clubs? Plus, I don't think the minimum NBA salary is that high. I think it's closer to 400,000 if I'm not mistaken. I'm too lazy to look it up....especially since I'm trying to distance myself from anything NBA related!
