What's new

Lockout!!!

yep looks like the players let themselves get smacked around. another win for the oligarchs.

if 400 players with an average salary of $3 million dollars can't avoid being mugged by their employers...exactly what chance do the rest of us have?

Can I report it?

So Kicky sends me a PM now...LOL...Below...

"That report was at two ignores with no other votes. I personally got it pushed over to an infraction through lobbying. Then some dumbass teacher from New Jersey pokes me in the eye for tolerating CJ. When you write things like that it's obvious that you don't have a ****ing clue what's happening. When you write things like that cluelessly in a way that's supposed to pants me it's even more annoying. You do stuff like that, I reserve the right to give you a good '**** you.'"

I'm not sure what's better...his attempt at insult by saying "some dumbass teacher from New Jersey" as if that's supposed to get under my skin (only in a lawyer's fantasy world I presume) or how much he's gotten his panties in a bunch over the whole thing. No surprise though when it comes down to it.

I like how he "reserves" his right to tell you **** you.

This.

I don't want to live in a world where rich athletes with much better lives than me, suddenly have things slightly not as good. Let's face it. There IS no God.

Are you surprised? This is Kicky we're talking about here.

Have you seen the new Beavis and Butthead? The part when they are making fun of the guy addicted to porn? That is who Kicky is in my mind. The guy is a douche, but he says he's a lawyer, so I guess it goes without saying.

Hope? ownership source says revised offer will give players "meaningful stuff" while staying at 50/50 BRI. Called talks "complicated."

This is pretty rich coming from an ambulance chaser. LOL

"We've had another couple of intense days," said Stern. "A couple hours ago, after Peter Holt and I were in touch with the labor relations committee, we made a revised proposal to the union to address their concerns as best we could."

The clock on their offer will remain stopped until the player representatives have a chance to review it. If the deal is not accepted, the owners will revert back to their 47% offer.
Billy Hunter said the response from the player reps will indicate where the union stands on the new offer. That meeting may not happen until early next week, according to Hunter.

Hunter also said that there are approximately 30 to 40 secondary issues that still need to be resolved.

I hope Dave Checketts gets hit in the nuts by a soccer ball.

Fortunately these 400 players aren't being "mugged"--even at 50/50.

I like where this is now. Hunter's last card has been played. The deal is what it is. This is the defeat he must accept. And a 72 game schedule is pretty great considering the time already lost. Time to move forward.

There will be a 72 game season if a deal is agreed upon?
