Lol Jeff Withey

Bigot owner cut Dee Brown saying he was a bad influence on Family man Deron Williams simply because Dee had kids out of wed locked. Even though Dee has never gotten into trouble in his life.. The day that happened the day I lost a lot of respect for the Jazz franchise.. Larry Milelr was a bigot plain and simple.

Is this true or urban legend?

I have no opinion on the moral fortitude of Larry H. Miller, but some insight into his though process occurred several years ago when he made a very public decision not to show Brokeback Mountain at his theaters at the same time he was showing the torture porn movie Hostel (I believe it was).

Although I was part of the culture for decades (and still am although vicariously), I struggle to understand how religious folks are so prudish about nudity and sex on the screen but don't seem to get their priggish panties in a bunch about violence, gore, torture, sadism and murder (particularly in the case of the Left Behind genre when it's God inflicting it on the unrighteous).

Anyone who assumes Dee got cut for that reason is not paying attention. Not sure what Larry said but Dee was borderline at best. I don't doubt it could have been the last straw but nothing more than that.

Having never met Larry I don't know for sure. In the case of Dee Brown, I know Larry was worried that Dee was potentially a bad influence on Deron. I don't think he thought Dee was a bad person, just that Dee was single and Deron was not, so he was afraid Dee was dragging his friend out to bars. Not a big deal as far as I'm concerned, but important to LHM. Torry Ellis had already been in trouble once in Park City.
.
As I recall, Larry didn't "cut" Dee Brown. I think the Jazz offered Brown a qualifying offer which he refused to sign. When he didn't sign it they signed Ronny Price instead. Doesn't really prove anything. Dee could have signed the QO and come to camp. ncoloradojazz likes to think that if something negative happens to a black person in Utah it must be because someone is a bigot.

Yeah, I'm sure he's cheating on her by using his time to bring a girl to go see Xmen.

Withey not only saving his relationship, but also saving a few bucks on a movie ticket that he could use to buy her a new piece of plasticity. She isnt good enough for that cleft lip lug, imho.
