what criteria would I use in passing out the password?
pretty much I'd talk to anyone I could buttonhole on the street.
just people who flatter me? nah. I wouldn't find that interesting.
maybe if I gave Kicky the password he'd talk to me. . . . nah. . . I drift off when I think I'm dealing with a committed crusader for anything. . . .

Yeah that's why I figured anyone who asked would get the password. It would be a place where people from all walks of life can come together and discuss all sorts of taboo subjects.. you being the moderator of sort. In my opinion you do quite a good job here in terms of moderating 'touchy' subjects and bringing people from different view point or spectrums together and find common grounds.
might be worthwhile if anyone is still in the formative years of their opinions. . . .
Well come to think of it, even without your own forum, if encouraged, more would come in here and discuss a wider range of subjects...
one flip side of that idea in the fantasy that I actually have some stuff worth sharing. . . .
So I've had three or four invitations to someone's private forum, but I don't remember passwords very well, and I'm pretty slow to go sift through old PM even if I haven't deleted them. So, all in all, I think Game has the right idea about passwords. . . .
Yes but if anyone can get in, the question then becomes "what's the point?".
I find that people come out of their shells a bit more and are more open in discussions when there are less people participating in that environment... It makes for a more entertaining and deeper discussion in a way.

I don't like the way my wife does her politics. She has about five really close friends and they get together and agree with one another on everything. The rest of the world is just undeserving of attention.
