Damn, I just read that the actor who played Wilson died of lung cancer in 2003 ... I thought he's still around... hmmm.. human life is quite short isn't it?

He looked pretty old in those nineties bits. I guess smokers always look older somehow. Even if they live to 100 like George Burns.

And he was pretty old, actually.

uhhhmmm, no. He looked old. I thought like mid seventies, but he died at 61, and those episodes of Home Improvement had a fifty-something Wilson, actually.

Haha.. I've gotta stop making these connections but can't resist making 1 last one.

Maris Crane from Frasier. Babe, you know how sometimes you talk about your wife but we never actually get to see/talk to her in person? I remembered you talking about her making you running around doing stuff for the ranch, waking up odd hours, pulling out trees... etc, etc, etc.

That's kinda like Nile Crane's wife in my favourite show "Fraiser". You never actually see her face on the show, all we know about her is when Niles talks about her. He would describe her using various metaphors, etc. She is apparently very rich (not sure that's the reason Niles married her or not though, but I suspect it is one of the reason since Niles is a very smart, albeit a gullible guy). From what I gather, she can be quite controlling both of Niles and EVERYONE around her, and Niles often joke about that but I think he actually enjoys 'pleasing her' by 'attending to her every demands'.

Niles as you know is a psychiatrist, very cultured, very well educated, so it begs the question why he married Maris as from all accounts she is very hard to live with ..haha.. but I guess it's kinda come off as cute on the show anyway that he's very loyal to her and running around doing everything and anything for her.

If you have watched Fraiser you would know exactly what I'm talking about, if not Maris would actually be harder than Wilson to peg down, since we never saw her face on the show, LOL.

Actually, come to think of it, I bet you use this word more than I do.

I once had my car insured by Progressive, years and years ago, but they dropped me for no good reason. Something about being a kid with a '67 Firebird and living in a ghetto I think. Not sure they knew about my German Shepherd/Coyote or my Malamute/Wolf sidekicks. . . .

Some years later, I insured my cars with Progressive again, but my wife got some speeding tickets. NOBODY EVER GET IN FRONT OF HER, please. I had to change the registrations and address and insure in my name, just to save a thousand dollars every six months or something like that.

This is the post that reminded me of how Niles used to talk about Maris on the show.. hehe..

I have watched Frasier maybe ten or twenty times, but I did not catch on to the Maris thing. Mostly I took it as a caution on trying to project more smartness than you've got brains to pay for.

Unless I'm just off on the count, I think a new page is in the offing.

I love new pages, they conjure up in my mind a clean slate and a brand new story.

Damn ... I have obviously offended Babe by talking about his wife ... that's almost sacrilegious around here.

Apologies Babe!!!

No offense,. Let's just say I have more to be concerned about than Frasier.

Discretion is the better part of valor.

And I amonthe road, doing the driving.
