well, obviously not. Ambrose Bierce, while a respectable anti-anglophile who could envision a socialist world without British oligarchy managing the world's affairs, was apparently a bachelor at heart.
 
In support of the claim that he knew the difficulties of taming the female tongue, here's his idea of a "maiden":

I'm headed in that direction, but I need to distance myself from the authority-defying cheering section. They won't give it to me unless I promise to be good.
 
I will be doing some other stuff, sometimes, though. Gotta keep doing the real work. but I deserve the fun this is going to be.
