humanity is only significant because we have fun.


well, and can appreciate beauty, and indulge in intellectual fantasies and constructs that exist nowhere but inside our skulls.. . . imagination. . . .

and can make use connections between inputs, and derive things called plans, and then do stuff about it.
 
mankind is capable of at least two general modes of cognition. . . . interfacing our brains with inputs. . . .

The most general is observation, and the next is extrapolation. . . .. the first "scientist" is the empiricist, the second "scientist" in the "theorist".

"evidence" is the onward march of empiricism. . . . into the imagined world of theory. . ..
