There's a lot to recommend "Pearl"s that can make a swine like "Babe" just recognize that Pearl should be loved more.

ah yes, the number 14. In Russian that that is a very long word "Che tir nad tsa ti" transliterated in rough English. Used to be the approximate male age of puberty????? And pimples. And that bad time of life when all the girls your age were dating someone who's sixteen. . . . .and sometimes dropping out of school for no disclosed reason. . . ..
I was running cross country when I was 14, and in the desert you did that at night. Amazing how many parked cars there were in little redoubts between the erosional knolls in the badlands.
I probably gave a few kids some second thoughts about their being where they were.

So , in pure numerological terms, 14 can either be twice as lucky as 7, or more unlucky than 13. Depending on your luck.
Thirteen has got to be purely unlucky. In the first place, it means you're not a kid who can be loved at all any more. Secondly, nobody remembers being thirteen, subconsciously stuffing the entire year into some toilet and flushing three times, just to make sure it's really gone down the drain. Not to say it doesn't just go down the drain by itself, too.
