What's new

Luol Deng ends up in Utah (Rumour)

Because Hill has shown stretches of very good 3pt shooting. He has shown where his shooting ceiling can be. It's just a matter of improving consistency.

Even the year he started, he started of slowly (adjusting to new role) then shot the ball pretty well from deep post-ASB. The next year his minutes are way down at first, but he gets brought back into a more consistent role and his shooting goes back up. He just has to find his consistency and you have a pretty good 3&D wing. Acy gives you an energy big who will run the floor, dunk, and hit the very occasional jump shot. Not comparable if you are looking at a substitute choice from Hill.

Still waiting for a number prediction... what does Hill get and for how many years?

Can we throw out all those games because none of the Kings games matter?

If he shot 25% of his total attempts for second half in any single game then go ahead.

Dude, I don't know. I think if he is asking for 2/24 we should do it.

Value matters in this discussion. He will get more than that. If that's the deal then fine... still don't see him as that much better than Ingles in a night in and night out basis. In certain matchups he's a better defender and would be useful.

He gets 3/36 minimum... may get 4/48... at those numbers give me booker, Acy and others on much smaller and shorter deals. If he gets less than that I'll gladly eat crow.

Would anyone be interested in Evan Turner? He's just entering his prime; he'd be a better long term investment than Deng IMO.

Also not a good shooter but an elite sg. Would you consider Wade on an overpaid 2 year max?

Yes.

Hill-Exum-Mack/Neto
Wade-Burks
Hayward-Hood-Ingles
Favors-Lyles-Bolomboy
Gobert-Withey

That's a legit 13.

Unlikely but I think a 2 year max might get him. Miami doesn't want to pay him that much.

There's a lot of upside here. Burks could learn a lot from him perhaps. We get deeper, add a legit vet who knows how to win. The downside is we've tied up a **** ton of money on a guy way past his prime and he will cut into the playing time for Burks and Hood. However, in year two, if things aren't working out, we could maybe flip him for expirings and a pick.

He'd be sharing the floor with Burks and Exum, so, No. Not a good fit.

this happens every time Wade negotiates with Miami.
Yep, doesn't mean we shouldn't try. You never know, this might be the time he leaves. Very unlikely but more a possibility than signing Durant, DeRozan or Beal.

I would use my time more wisely if I am DL. There may be a small window to pounce on a guy or trade early because many times are spending time on the big guys.
