Luol Deng ends up in Utah (Rumour)

Boston is going resign Turner and he loves Boston so I doubt he goes elsewhere.Prince is still playing? Havent heard from him in a few years. He is a west coast guy so getting him might not be hard, He could take a paycut to get closer to home.

Thought I'd just throw out some other FA possibilities as a backup 3/4:
Trevor Booker
Deng
Solomon Hill
Dudley
Crabbe (R)
Evan Turner
Harkless
Gerald Green
Jeff Green
Brandon Bass
Alonzo Gee
Lance Thomas
Dorell Wright
James Ennis
Tayshaun Prince

You also say such foolish thing like Jazz can trade favors for cousins and gay!!!! What is this?

Well on the court Cousins is a way superior player to Favors but the off the court stuff and his attitude makes them about even id say.. Cousins is very very talented.. Gay is who he is..If he would cut down his ego and go to a playoff team and become a 6th man he could be a 6th man of the year player.
I wouldn't trade Favors for those 2 and it isn't because of on the court play, it comes down to the off the court stuff.

Exum isn't going be the starter. You don't throw a kid who isn't ready into the fire. You are right about him getting some time with the first unit but if your goal is to win games then you start Hill. Just amazes me how many people are ready to pencil in a kid who never played high school or college ball in America as a starter coming off a season he missed most of because of injury. He Never played PG either until the NBA and your ready to toss him into the fire? Mudiay is the only recent player I can remember who came in as a rookie and started from the get go but he was ready due to the fact he played high school ball here and he ran the point guard before. Exum came in as a combo guard and not a point guard.

I'm all for adding talent such as Deng but I don't like the fit if he & Exum are both in the second unit (although I'd probably do it at the right $/yrs). I know lineups will be mixed & matched but I think you need more than 1 shooter (Lyles) with a backcourt of Exum & Burks (especially if Whithey is your C). This is one of the reasons I hope Hill & Exum at least equally split time with the first unit.

I like the potential of a 2nd unit consisting of Hill, Burks, 3&D SF, Lyles, & Whithey/DEF C. I don't like the idea of Lyles getting less minutes as Deng is probably best utilized at the 4 at this point tho. All for adding talent, just think there are better fits (depending on how we intend to use our lineup).

You had your one time...now NEVER address me again.

Wasn't listening, just saw it on Twitter. Here's a couple tweets:

Who starts is irrelevant, what matters is how playing time is divided & who (primarily) plays with what unit. Hill should absolutely have a bigger role & close games but he's a much better fit than Exum is with the 2nd unit (as currently structured) & the starting unit has already proven to be affective with Exum at PG (albeit in a somewhat small size). Exum also needs to continue building chemistry with the starting unit as he is still the PG of the future (of course this is assuming he's healthy).

Like I said 250 posts ago... this is/has been further along than what has been made public.

You in Coach K's circle as well? If Deng signs, the Duke connection has to have come into play, no?

In a pure fit-for-the-team scenario, I might prefer Marvin slightly, but Deng is very close. I worry that Dudley doesn't rebound well enough for what the Jazz want, but man, that TS%; and I'm a bit more optimistic on Solomon Hill's shot than most and like the other things he brings, but I'll probably be thrilled with any of them.

So right now Deng is getting a lot of interest (Celtics, Minny, LAC, Wizards, Jazz that I have read). I understand that situations are always fluid. Have you heard any new info? Are you still confident in your "prediction"?

I just don't want the Jazz to overpay for anyone. Whoever they get, I want people to look back and think "How'd they get him that cheap? That was a helluva deal."

I haven't heard anything differently. But I also haven't heard anything since a few days ago.
