Luol Deng ends up in Utah (Rumour)

I don't think anyone's mentioned it either but I'd really like the Deng signing for the additional reason that he, Hill, a package of both and/or with others, could be flipped into a 1st rounder next year from some team looking to solidify their bench for a title run. Obviously, I'm hoping we're looking like the 4th-6th seed, around 48-52 wins, are hitting our stride, and keep them. But if Exum is so damn good that he has to start, and Lyles defense has improved so much so that he really should be playing 25-30 minutes a night, then flipping one or both of them to get a 1st rounder in next year's killer draft could be a huge surprise and long-term move for us.

Same age as Hill doe

Really? He looks 40. Don't those bball players from Africa lie about their age a lot?

Deng is Sudanese and played for Thibs...whatever his listed age is add 10 years

Deng plays very good defense, is a 6'9 SF, shot 42% from three last season and 48% FG%. Sounds good to me.

Store fronts that look great but there are there are some shady dealings going on out back. (waiting for my Danny Ferry banishment)

I differentiate. And I'm not one that trusts my gut. I trust certain info.
And I happen to have some inside on this one. It's very rare nowadays.. but every now and then.
Any idea what the contract will look like?

I mean, if you look at the replacement, Deng would replace Ingles on depth chart, which is obviously an upgrade. However, price would be really high and I don't think Deng would want that role, so my initial reaction is that it won't happen.

nah, he is 34/46 career and last year. I think you may be looking at his playoff stats.

Must have been. I usually check ESPN but NBA.COM popped up. It looks like 34% from three and 45.5% FG% last season. I still like his game. Assuming he'll sign somewhere for around $12,000,000 per year.

Looks better without all the zeroes. Let's sign him for $12.
