Magic, Jazz, Grizzlies Three Team Deal

Okay, serious question. Why is Hayward one of the untradables? I'd certainly consider it if it came down to getting a big deal done.

Hayward is a rare player in that he has mis-match size as an SG (although he needs to shoot, obviously). He defends, handles, runs the floor, plays hard all the time, can initiate offense, etc. He's a unique player that would be difficult to replace. He's not untradable, but he's more valuable than his stats currently indicate.

Orlando would do this and so would the Jazz. But the Grizzlies will never do this because Dwight will never sign an extension with them. They are trading the entire team away.

Devin Harris
OJ Mayo
Sam Young
Speights (Zach Randolph)
Dwight Howard

That is worse than what he has now.

What makes more sense is something like this

Jazz get: JJ Redick, Mike Conley, Memphis's & Orlando's 1st round draft picks

Magic get: Gasol, OJ Mayo & Al Jefferson

Grizzles get: Dwight, Harris & Bell

Jazz Lineup (Probably should trade Miles or Howard for a back up big man and giving playing time to burks)
Conley - Watson - Tinsley
JJ Redick - Miles - Burks
Hayward - Howard - Evans
Millsap - Kanter
Favors - Kanter

Orlando
Nelson
Mayo
Turkuglu
Jefferson
Gasol

Grizzlies
Harris
Bell
Gay
Randolph
Dwight

Obviously some minor things would need to be worked out but I think the only way Dwight signs an extension is if Gay is still on the team.

Good trade from our end, at least in my opinion.

Only problem is you'd need to be sure you can package 4 picks in this draft for a legit star either in the draft of via trade because 4 rookies, 2 sophs and 2 juniors on your roster is a tad extreme as far as "youth movement" goes.

Do you guys think Jazz can go anywhere with their current roster?

This is a bit like asking "is your sister ugly". You getting no answer from me. As far as Gay and Conley coming and Jefferson, Harris and Hayward going. Don't want Hayward gone myself, and we would need to flip Gay in a hurry for someone. Harris i would give to Orlando or Memphis for a vacation trip to either place.

You would trade Harris, Al, and Burks for Gasol?

I would trade Al, Harris, CJ for Gasol. Wouldn't even have to think about it. Gasol is a center who can shoot from outside and knows how to pass the ball. There is no way Memphis does it because Gasol is a local kid who loves Memphis.

I would love it if we could get Conley but I don't want to give up Hayward for Gay. Gay is the better scorer but he makes a ton of money considering his production isn't that much better than Haywards.

Yes, but worst case scenario you trade them for future first rounders.

I think Jazz would get Mike Conley and Rudy Gay.

Memphis gets Harris and Dwight Howard

Magic get Al Jefferson, Marc Gasol, Gordon Hayward is what he said.

He said Mayo might also go to Utah or Orlando to make money work Grizzlies might get young player and they have to wait until free agents can be traded

No way the Magic get that much unless Howard agrees to a long term extension. Which I can not see him doing while going to a team that trades all 3 of their best players.

Even if he agrees to that long term deal I don't think Memphis does this deal. And Utah would be very hesitant to accept as well. Utah would probably need a pick or something from Orlando.

Maybe i'm missing something here, could you please explain this comment?

When Pau was drafted and then relocated to Memphis Marc moved with him and played for a local high school until he went back to Europe and then came to the NBA after that. It just happened that his draft rights moved from LAL to Memphis back to the city that he played high school ball in. I hope that helps you.

Errr; after watching last night's head-to-head between Gasol and Jefferson, I wouldn't deal Jefferson that quicky... And I don't see Conley as that different from Harris, and I like Hayward's overall game WAY more than Gay's. This trade would need some major changes for KoC to ever pull the trigger... As 'CAndrew' once said, the evil you know is better than the evil you DON'T know. Or something very similar...

There is no way any semblence of this deal takes place. The reason we are all here is that we are suckers for any potential trades involving Jefferson and Harris, being that we all want them gone. So when we saw 'Magic, Jazz, Grizzlies Three Team Deal', we clicked it.

Was just on the Griz message board. I read their game thread, for those of you salivating at the opportunity to get Gay should read their game thread. They bag on Gay like we do to Big Al. He's soft, doesn't play defense, can't be the best player on an elite team, no heart, lazy. Am I missing anything. Gay isn't the answer for this team.
