So Millsap, a UFA, is going to willfully sign a deal for essentially the same money he makes now to play on a team that already has an All-Star that plays at his position?
Are you the mayor of Toronto?
If Millsap wants to play for a contender it will have to be a S&T. Not a lot of good teams with cap space.
you say "we" like the jazz have any interest in bledsoe
Is it just me, or am I the only one that finds it kind of odd that we are either picking up a lot of the Clippers bench players, Mo and Foye, and that the jazz have some 'reported' interested in another bench player?

I usually agree with you, but we are NOT letting Millsap and Jefferson go for "NOTHING." The Jazz are clearing cap space and getting under the salary FLOOR. They're doing so by design. KOC/Lindsey have stated a few times that they think teams are going to have to do roster purges next season as the punitive tax takes effect. So what it comes down to is, do you believe Bledsoe is the third or fourth link of a championship-caliber roster? If so, you get him and pay/overpay major dollars to keep him. You then have a core of Favors, Kanter, Hayward and Bledsoe, with perhaps the ability to also retain Burks or a player like him. Or, do you pass on Bledsoe and other "meh" FA's (and that includes guys like Foye and Mo Williams), stay lean and start a bidding war at the trade deadline? I'm in the latter camp. I think a lot of teams will be willing to sacrifice a very good player or a decent player PLUS a high pick to avoid paying a $10-$20M luxury tax penalty. And we'll be one of the few franchises able to absorb straight salary - and a lot of it - without having to give a team any salaries in return. If the jazz don't have interest in Bledsoe then the entire front office needs to be fired.
We have tons of free agents and tons of holes to fill. If we let these free agents leave for nothing... Man... Greg and co better be prepared for a completely empty arena next year. And one of those largest holes is at the point.
In other words, the has NEED to sign and trade some of their free agents. They MUST get something out of these guys. And they DESPERATELY need a point.
To me, signing and trading with the clippers just makes too much sense for both teams. Whether it actually happens is the question NOT if the 2 sides have interest in doing business.
