What's new

I think it's notable that Brice hasn't gotten any run yet even after he had a good game last night. I don't get the impression that Hardy is a big fan of his. Hasn't been a priority for him all year.

Would love to see Cody have Holland's motor, but I don't really think that can be taught.

I mean he basically skewered him in the presser last night. Brice has a nonchalant attitude on defense that coaches loathe. Part of it is processing imo. Part of it is care factor. There were a couple plays last night that I was like "oh that's gonna come up in film". He's like Collin on defense but without the try hard moments. He still deserves PT tho.

Pistons are tough and athletic. A bunch of them can't shoot though. Duren + Ausar + Holland = no space

Looks like Brice is getting pulled after just a 4-min. stint. Playing behind Springer in the rotation is kind of a slap. Will Hardy must be on Brice about his defense.

He needs to pick up the effort. He also needs to make it look like he's picking up the effort... add some fake hustle.

I'm not blaming Hardy for not being high on him....but as we know, there are some players who seem to have immunity from Hardy (or at least appear to at moments) and others who do not. It's okay for coaches to have preferences, just saying it's quite obvious that Brice is not one of them based on this season. Hardy isn't always hard on players who have a non-chalant attitude and is also the only coach I've heard openly admit to not prioritizing defense.

All of this can change, of course, but pretty obvious where Brice stands at the moment.
