What's new

Before the season it was obvious the roster wasn't built to tank, there were at least 7-8 real NBA rotation players. Tonight there's about 3-4 in uniform that are real NBA rotation players....that's a tanking team. The benefits of tanking are nice I suppose....but it's really a drag to have so many meaningless, throwaway games where the point is to lose. Gonna have a lot of that, and not just from the Jazz.
That's exactly why I'm gonna skip the rest of the season. Don't have the time or desire to watch intentionally bad basketball and players that shouldn't even be in the league.

What a shame. It's incredibly likely that we won't draft a difference maker, and in that case Ainge has thrown away a season that had a chance to be something really special. In the end, we'll remember the tanking and the losing and the bitter end.

This season has worked out damn near perfectly in our favor and ending the year 7th or 8th in the lottery would be the cherry on top.

I thought the season was pretty fun before the trade deadline and the team has a lot of heart. Now it's just bad basketball.

Like I said, the benefits are nice....but it really sucks if you want to watch competitive basketball. Big picture this was a great season and it doesn't matter what happens next....well it does but most people want to lose more next. But it's maybe not the best if you want to be entertained by the basketball being played.

Basically all it took was handing the keys over from Conley to THT. Hopefully we can find someone else next season who is actually a starting level nba PG

Yeah....I mean, to each their own if they enjoy games where they want the team to lose. I understand why and I don't blame people....But I'm like you. A big part of my enjoyment of the NBA is the day to day action and competition.

As far as parity goes this has been one of the best seasons in recent memory. Very little tanking teams.

We quite honestly won’t be bad enough to keep our pick next year. I don’t see Lauri/Walker plus a **** ton of cap space and a top-10 pick not making the playoffs next year.

Jazz have to feel pretty inspired by the Blazers sitting at the #8 spot in the lottery. They're going to go for it like an angry osprey diving for a fish.

Well, we traded four rotation players and didn’t get a single one back. Plus Sexton and Clarkson have missed multiple games.
