I'm not 100% sure why I looked this up:

Royce Clutch Shooting Regular Season and Playoffs (FGM/FGA, 3PM/3PA)

21-22 (0/8, 0/5)

20-21 (4/6, 3/4)

19-20 (3/7, 1/5)

18-19 (0/2, 0/2)

17-18 (1/1, 1/1)

Total (8/24, 5/17)
Pre 21-22 (8/16, (5/12)
Lol he is bench player in any decent team. Period. He can't guard fast guards he can't guard bigger players so what he can do? Hit 3pointer when is alone like ghost. Twenty ppl on crowd can do same...

Royce has had good clutch percentages until this year. His biggest issue is not shooting enough. He just needs to get over whatever his mental issue is and be willing to shoot when he gets the ball wide open.

It's kind of incredible that we managed to put up 111 points with Bogey out and Don, JC and Royce shooting a combined 17/59.

agreed. bogey can easily score25 and jc 17. maybe he used up all his bullets on that 45 pt game so I'll give him a pass hell recover soon. house was also injured played just 7 minutes. bucks big3 had 30, 29 & 23. this was a winnable game. we need to fix the late collapse.

also we didn't even play hernangoat......

That was good defense. Thing is you can find a highlight of literally every player in the nba playing good defense at some point.

Right, just like you can find a highlight of literally every player in the NBA playing bad defense. Sometimes we just choose to focus on one or the other depending on the narrative.

FWIW I think Royce is an average defender, which on our team still means he's one of our best defenders unfortunately. I think the defensive metrics agree with that. When an average defender defends as many shots as Royce against the best offensive players in the NBA, he's often going to look bad.

I agree with those who say Royce could be more effective in slightly less minutes. I don't agree with people who think Royce doesn't belong in the starting/closing lineup, or that he is the reason we aren't a legitimate contender.

I think his a good defender but an overall not very good basketball player. A bench player.
