Without Rudy I didn’t expect much but somehow we still manage to disappoint. Basketball seems incredibly painful for our guys right now…
Good assessment. No one looks like they are having fun out there. I know losing sucks, but most players and teams do their very best when they are enjoying playing the game. These guys look like they are hating the game right now. They need to get that enjoyment back or they will just wilt and die. Unfortunately I think Ingles was a big part of that in the past, and now he is gone, so there is no one to remind them to have fun in the game and to be friends in the locker room. I think losing Ingles had a much bigger effect than anyone realizes. The ultimate glue guy is gone and now we are falling apart. Pretty big coincidence there.

Joe looked miserable this year too... its been a bad weird vibe most of the season.

More lies. When has he thrown anybody under the bus on social media? Outside of the highly complicated and controversial covid thing with Rudy, when has he been anything other than a fantastic teammate?

Your toxicity has become a cancer on this forum.

You're right Mike Elliot still has his job.

Against mavs this season he got 15ppg on 27% for 2 and 13% for 3p splits. Maybe that's why he is pissed? Maybe they don't know he is superstar? Lol...
Sadly those number aren't far off his shooting splits.

I think he is a useable player but only if he cuts all the fat from his shot selection... basically he needs to limit himself to corner threes only... and layups in transition. He also needs to be a good defender. He went off script and I was glad he got yanked last night.

I'm so unimpressed with Quin right now. when asked on the Donovan staying in the game... gotta trust the players... yada yada. Its the same dumb stuff Quin does all the time when he doesn't take his foot off the gas when its clear we are going to lose. Live to fight another day.

He calls it trust but its really just him too focused on winning one game and being unwilling to tell the player we need you long term. Its just so dumb. Its like me explaining why I let the kids have ice cream for dinner and saying "I just needed to trust them on their choices hun".
You saw the results of Mike Elliot telling Donovan they needed him long term right? Donovan gets to do what Donovan wants because the alternative is him throwing a public fit.

There is a huge difference between the two scenarios.

Don didn't do anything to Mike on social media.

Every report out there said Mike decided to pursue other options.

And if I were to guess, there were a ton of people within the front office and coaching staff upset at Mike's decision to sit Donovan at the last second despite Donovan warming up. Blaming that "breakup" solely on Donovan is reckless. But you just type garbage all day so nothing new for you.

Not really, in fact both were in regards to the ankle. Oh it was a playoff game in a series the Jazz were heavily favored? Well we better throw a fit and get the guy fired who turned out to be right as the dude was limping on one foot 6 games later. Donovan throws fits when he doesn't get his way, so now, it's on him, not Quin.

Please shutup LoPo, Elliot was CLEARLY let go due to Donovan, stop trying to sugar coat your diva. And yeah Joe Ingles was so upset he's using Elliot as his personal rehab specialist....idk seems like one baby caused it.

Joe is using Mike because Mike started his own company using the name recognition he got working for our Utah Jazz.

Let me repeat - every single report said that Mike decided to explore other career opportunities. If that was a lie, somebody would have called them out on it. Mike would have called them out on it if he was just fired.

There was the Don and Rudy Covid thing. Other than that, you just spread lies about Donovan. Get a life dude.

Last night Quin did one of the dumbest things imaginable when the left Spida stay out there when he injured himself. This isn't game 7 of the playoffs. His rationale for leaving him out there was clearly weak sauce. If I'm the owner or Ainge I would really be pi$$ed at both Quin and DM for their actions. You're the coach, get the injured player out of there and get some ice on his injury. We'll see how long a vacation DM gets to take now. Can you imagine if Quin were a high school coach and did the same thing? CPS would be at his doorstep pronto.

Mike Elliot doesn't want a headline "fired because of disagreement with Donovan Mitchell" any more than Donovan or the Jazz want that headline. Of course they sugar coated the "mutual" parting of ways. You aren't this dense(maybe you are).

The player said he was good to go. The player had an ankle injuries and NBA players play on tweaked ankles all the time. Are coaches supposed to ignore players who say they are ready to go?

I put it on Don more than I do Quin. Don was trying to do right by the team when other babies on our roster had to sit out. He was trying to do right, but he shouldn't have pushed it.

A news release said he “decided to pursue other opportunities.” Eric Waters remains the team’s head athletic trainer, while former Salt Lake City Stars head trainer Jamal Cort has been promoted to be the team’s director of rehabilitation.

You and anybody else who says that Donovan "made Mike leave" are simply spreading lies.

“With the training staff, there wasn’t any impetus to change it because of any events last year. Look, injuries happen. With return to play, there’s always, you know, a bit of a debate and negotiation between players and doctors and health performance people. That that has nothing to do with it,” Zanik said. “Mike decided he wanted to pursue some other opportunities. This season was a grind for everyone. I don’t want to speak for him about what those personal things were. But our job here with the Jazz is to continue to put a world-class health care and performance program in place for our players.”

As Andy Larsen tweeted, it's pretty much Donovans call at this point. Stop blaming the coach for a player who you can't manage without him throwing a fit. This is the results of having a diva on your team, you can't hold him accountable or treat him the same. DM said as such post game it was HIS decision to go back in. Quin also said it was Donovan's decision. The power structure in the organization is Donovan.......and then theres everybody else. It's why I've said it creates a toxic and terrible culture where even your coach at times doesn't feel like he can do his job. This is what brought the Deron/Sloan relationship to a boil, only Jerry wasn't going to be usurped and wasn't going to deal with that nonsense.

That article is written by Andy Larsen, who has said on ESPN700 that it very much was over the Donovan stuff and not as "mutual" of parting of ways as the Jazz want the public to believe. So yes the very person who wrote this article agrees with me good job LoPo.

Yes. The coaches job is to coach and the players job is to play. Unfortunately we have a guy you have to tip toe around his feelings.

I don't take a single thing you say as truth. You have to provide a substantial link with a direct quote from a respectable source. You have zero legitimacy on this forum with all of your lie spreading.
