I like Brooks alot because I think he's a guy who can clearly score at the NBA-level. When you look at the other wings available in that mid-late 1st-round range, you're shooting in the dark to find guys who have those 1 or 2 skill sets that will definitely translate to the NBA. IMO Brooks has that.
Even someone like Singleton, who theoretically should be a very good perimeter defender with his size and athleticism, but how many lottery picks are drafted for their perimeter defense - and actually are good defenders in their first 2 years in the league. It took guys like James Posey and Tony Allen awhile before they became the great defenders who helped Boston win the championship in 2008 and reach the Finals in 2010.
I think Brooks deserves strong consideration as the top SG in the draft.
