I am not against making an example of this guy. I am just against it being done by some other pissed off local. Let the system handle it. If they want to hand down throwing him in a lion pit, knife fight with 20 Bloods/Crips, feeding him to sharks...I'd be down.

He is from SoCal... San Diego if I'm not mistaken...
The only reason why he was living in Colorado is because he was attending medical school there. He withdrew/failed a month ago. Probably pissed at the world over his failure.
No one in his apt building knew him. He was quiet, kept to himself, and was described as "creepy."

His apt has been boobytrapped hence law enforcement is entering via the window.
I wouldn't be surprised to find his computer filled up with kid porn and guns/bomb sites. Dude seemed like your typical nutjob. Didn't have a social life, probably loved guns, got his jollies from looking at kid porn, and was pissed at the world for not giving him everything on a silver platter. Pissed that he didn't have a gf, pissed that he failed at med school, and pissed for being an "outcast."
There are a few times where I would support ME like torture and despise our "civilized" justice. These are one of them... The other would be this Mormon GOP activist who raped women (check out the Dnews front page today). He preyed on women in the singlesward and on LDS dating websites.
I would support water boarding, hooking these morons up to a light bulb (ala Lian Neeson Taken style), and castration these punks before taking them out back and shooting them. Don't waste time or money on some long drawn out trial and appeals. You know what they did. It was gross. Don't give them the media attention or platform to spread their garbage around. Torture'em and shoot'em. Maybe it'll serve as a deterrent for others.
To further support the Thriller (shudder) the nutjobs are all over. Go look at the news articles over the last two years. Tucson, Philly, Miami, Seattle, CA, MA.
Seems that it is happening with increased frequency. Scary but it is probably a result of new agencies covering more of the stories.

I wouldn't be surprised if we have seen/see/will see an increase in violence and crime.
The country isn't exactly in a peaceful, prosperous, happy time.
Everyone is pissed over something. Whether it's the cost of health care or the cost of schooling. Whether it's being unemployed or with the national debt.
Democrats, Repubs, Socialists, Fascists, Communists, Anarchists, etc everyone is pissed right now at the status of nearly everything in this country. I doubt it has reached late 60s early 70s level yet... But I gotta think that we haven't seen this much social pissed offness in a long time.
Although the 90s lacked google, fast Internet, and cellphones, I long for those days. The Jazz kicked butt, gas was cheap, airport security wasn't tedious, no real wars, and nearly everyone was employed.
Well eventaully someone will do something that sets everything off. The pressure is slowly building and I do not have faith that soemone will find a way to release the pressure.

Regardless of political parties or elections, unemployment and extended wars = social upheaval. Right now this country could care less who the President was. They just want this country to unsuck. If Americans feel like Romney can do that, then he'll be elected. All polling I've seen seems like the majority do not feel that way.
Our unemployment has been hovering between 8-9 percent for some time. Triple and nearly quadruple that and you'll get an idea for one of the reasons why Germans turned to Hitler.
Economic stagnation and wars will always lead to society being pissed off. So it wouldn't surprise me if we have seen or see a rise in violent crimes.
I disagree. Who the President has turned into a symbol for everything else. Each side will turn that into the other side wanting things to get worse. People are incredibly blinded by their own sutpidity.

This is just wrong! Some scumbag feels the need to take his aggression out on innocent people, and your first thought is you hope it's not a Muslim, as if that makes what happened ok.
My thoughts and prayers will be with those involved and their loved ones.
Last night I had trouble sleeping because I got to thinking about socio/psychopaths and what makes them so. Research has shown that 1-3% of the population are potential sociopaths (enjoy inflicting pain or harm on others). That is such a large number. Millions of people just in the U.S!

I actually knew he wasn't a Muslim as soon I saw the headline. It used the term "shooter" rather then "terrorist." If it was a Muslim who committed these acts the Jewish owned news outlets would have labeled him and said "Terrorist shoots Innocent victims" or something like that.

Yeah, oddly enough I've never been to that theater even though it's by far the one closest one to me. There's a theater a little further out but offers $1 refills if you buy a souvenir cup from them and bring it with you. Thank god for cheapness.
