I like the Matt Harpring comments on the bear segment. Followed closely by the Matt Harpring comments on someone in the crowd segment.
My only disagreement from the broadcast last night was near the end of the first quarter I believe when Matt went off on Fes a little for not playing with his headache/dizzyness. Only because he should not interject his comments about a players health when he has no idea the severity. Other than that I think he okay. I like it when he breaks down plays.

My brain just total filters out the announcers naturally. Probably because I don't have enough brain power to take it all in, but I'm glad I barely notice them.

Matt's alot better at explaining the Jazz's halfcourt offense and the mentality of players, but alot of times he'll make comparisons or sarcastically admonish 6-2 Ronnie Price for not doing a more spetacular dunk that make me miss the days of Boone.
I guess we were all just spoiled by Hot Rod, although Boler's pretty good too, but yeah, if it's not a home game where I want to hear the crowd I'll just filter out the announcing or listen to something else while watching the game.

Just when I thought we hit weakling saturation, you come along and prove me wrong. I can play hung over and so can Fes. He either needs to quit drinking outright or learn to handle his Slavutych habit better. I'd give him a bag of jalapenos to wake him up and clear him out, and call him a ***** if he didn't play later on too.

During the second quarter last night Matt and Locke(?) managed to talk for 7 straight game minutes without commenting on the action. It was astonishing.
It was with Bolerjack, discussing the greatest Jazz player of all time, and it was more interesting than the game.
I remember an extended riff about Matt Harpring wearing a Green Team T-shirt somewhere in there.
I almost shot my TV Steven Cowan style.
They should save it for their radio shows. The only issues I have ever had with radio play by play is when they talk about crap when the game is going on. The only thing that is worse is when its on TV and they are talking about crap, and the camera is on the guy talking, while the game is going on. We are tuning in for the game primarily, they should save their commentary and stories for another time. Even if they are more interesting to some than the game, they are not more important than the game. Anyone interested in the stories should tune into the post game basketball story time show.

You will not find a better announcer, TV play-by-play guy than Boler. He does not have the basketball knowledge of many of his counterparts, maybe, but that's why you have color commentators. I think, Matt is as good as a rokkie color guy can get, however, I sometimes miss Booner, do not know why, though.
