What's new

Maul Pimpslap is killin it.

You don't remember all the vitriol against him from fans who thought Kanter was better in his rookie year? The Kanter&Favors >>>> Jefferson&Millsap delusion was practically all anyone wanted to talk about.

Gonna need some links

I do remember lots of us wishing corbin would play millsap at the 3 more and use him more on the perimeter doe

actually i see where frank is coming from.

I remember people thinking favors > millsap (maybe i thought that too sometimes)
But naos acting like jazzfanz thought millsap sux is untrue.

There were loud calls for Favors to play over Sap. I was one of them. Still oved Sap and wanted him on the team though.

Wanted him and Carroll back actually.

There were probably 3 or 4 people who lauded Paul all the way to the end.

Off the top of my head, I can think of myself, NUMBERICA, and GVC. Maybe franklin.

DOOOOOOOOOD. I got reamed for liking Millsap. I was the single biggest supporter of Millsap on this board. I started multiple threads about how I thought for sure that the Jazz would keep him, and I defended his stats last year as well. Love me some Millsap. I hated that people questioned his attitude when his stats were virtually the same or better than the last few years.

I still think we would be a pretty decent team with a three big rotation of Favors, Millsap, and Kanter. I am not sold that Kanter will ever be much more than he is now though.

But Millsap with improved range out to the three would be a very good stretch big to help clear space for Favors or Kanter to work in the paint.

I didn't ever really like the way Jefferson was used in Utah though, and that is mostly because I like fast teams that get out and run. I was one of those that thought replacing Jefferson with Favors would be better for the team overall. But what made our team mildly successful last year was the quality of all four bigs. When we played Favors a bunch of minutes against backups, he looked pretty good.

Jazzfanz/s en masse were brutally stupid in regards to Sap, at least in his last year.

i always wondered why sap wasn't used more of a stretch. He can knock down 3s from the perimeter...

corbin just sucked massive nads at evaluating the talent he has.

Where did I say everybody thought this?

I know you have challenges, but certainly you remember the unceremonious way Paul was ushered out of Utah by the likes of many people on this board.

Anyway, it's pretty hard to watch him play for another team when it's becoming more of a question to anybody with a brain that both Favors and Kanter might never be as good as he is.

NOT BY ME!

winning basketball needs paul millsap.

always said he was not used correctly
