People, Grizzlies just played their best game possible. Everything broke their way. No Donovan, poor shooting, heaps of turnovers, poor effort, Rudy fouled out and wasn't there in clutch time, both Brooks and Morant went off, Memphis bench played great, Memphis was allowed to play overly physical defense while we had our 2 best players in foul trouble all night... and they won by 3 when we had a chance to send it to overtime. If the Jazz have a pedestrian game with Mitchell we win. The Jazz don't need to be overconfident, but I don't think any differently about this series than I did this morning.

All I can think about is we lost on our home floor to the ****ing 8 seed.
 
Quin also has to jump in and stick up for his guys... a couple well placed quotes in the press conference would go a long way too.

Ask for a review on the Brooks headbutt. Get a well placed tech to hopefully affect the officiating. Say something in the press conference about Brooks should foul out in the first quarter if the officiated him like they did Mike. That **** works... it just does. All that **** seems above him.

The refs were atrocious. You got Trent Forrest getting a tech for getting shoved in the chest. Bane talks **** to Niang and stares him down and Niang gets a tech for something he said. Brooks did Brooks **** all game and we get techs for that???? Ends up making a huge difference.

They are a young, emotional team who just upset Golden State. They are riding high. We had them 10+ down then Clarkson came in and played like dog crap.

We let them back in, coasted, and took too long to wake up. This could be a blessing in disguise.

Atleast the thing a few guys on this team know about is it's a looooong series. (down 0-1 to Thunder in '18, blew 3-1 to Denver last year in the mickey games) Something the Grizz my overlook come game 2.

I think he did
Rudy 100% shooting percentage
JV 50%
Rudy 15 rebounds
JV 12 rebounds
Gobert 3 blocks
JV 2 blocks
Big difference?
JV 39 minutes
Gobert 25 minutes

Extrapolate Rudy's minutes to 39 like JV played and Rudy would have like 20 something rebounds, 5 blocks and 18 points on 100 shooting.

So many good looks from 3 that just wouldn't fall, it reminded me of that Houston series from a couple of seasons ago, only difference is this team is filled with good shooters and that team wasn't. Hope it doesn't continue all series.
 
I’m pissed. Don is either hurt or our training staff is on some ********. If he isn’t hurt hurt I’d have hoped he made enough stink that they let him play. If he doesn’t play game 2 I think he’s hurt hurt. If he does play I think he could have gone tonight and our training staff are as soft as our perimeter defense.

If he's hurt hurt then our medical staff is incompetent as hell for not listing him on yesterday's injury report and for leading Donovan to believe he was playing tonight.
