Mbenga

Jazz 8/24

Lakers just said they're not re-signing him. Jazz interested? Good fit? Definitely brings some size, toughness, and shot blocking!

Yes. Sign him to the minimum as an insurance policy. Even if we reisgn Fesenko you still want to be more than 2 deep at the 5 spot. As it is, we have only 1 HEALTHY guy that can play the 5 in Al.

he just signed with the Lakers for league min

F it! So much for getting longer this offseason to be able to compete with the Lakers. They've got Mbenga who only appeared in half their games last season. We've got Big Al, and a crippled Okur to back him up and then.................. nothin'

No he didn't

The Lakers said they have no intrest in him

I like

According to a source, the Los Angeles Lakers are not interested in re-signing center D.J. Mbenga, despite an internet rumor that says the contrary. Coach Phil Jackson didn’t play the Belgian center at the end of the season, explaining that he the player has quit.

He's worth a look. Not sure how he will match up with Gasol and Bynum but at least he should be familiar with their moves.

His shot looks like that one uncoordinated kid you always had on your church ball team.
Uncoordinated? Are you kidding? That guy would dominate your church ball league so thougoughly it would be a joke, and he'd be one of the most coordinated players in the league. He'd be an excellent signing for the Jazz, IMO.

No, are YOU kidding? Do you understand hyperbole? Do you know what a joke is? Sarcasm? Do you realize that sentences can carry a meaning beyond the sum of their parts? Do you really believe that Reignman40 thinks a 7-foot NBA player would not be able to dominate his church ball league?

Oh. I see how it works. By the way, your posts remind me of that editor's nephew who only held down a job because he had photos of his uncle in a compromising position.

You're welcome for the compliment.
