I'll translate: Deron needs to attack the midfield in this match, not get lured by the free safety over the top, and mostly pitch inside. Okur will counter with the hit and run, mix in a few zone blitzes, and try to feed the strikers close to the goal. I was at the game. I had quitted attending Telekom games but as a longtime international Jazz fan, I could not miss that matchup. Good matchup, crappy defense by both teams, Telekom needs a backup PG, Darius Washington played like an NBA SG, had 29?. With Deron running the point, each Besiktas player turned into a scorer, he was really impressive. His incredible moves and deadly shooting was decisive in crunch time. Memo looked very fit, had no problem running or jumping and was aggressive on offense, buthe still needs time to get into the game/shooting rhythm. He had moments when he scored in 3-4 consecutive positions, and went ice cold for 6-7 mins after that. It seemed to me that he was a bit nervous, timid of injury which caused him to stay away from contact at some moments, and his weakness at PnR defense was -again- exploited. I think Telekom offers what a player in his situation needs; consistent PT (30-35 min), no big responsibilities and offensive load (which might change if other players continue not to meet the expectations), 2 games a week in Turkish + FIBA leagues.
 
Watched about half the game. Memo can only rebound and shoot stand still jumpers now. Everything else looks horrible. If he tries to make a move with the ball he loses it. He challenges no shots. He rotates only once on D and then just stands there. He can't post up guards. On pick and roll defense he appears to be even worse than before. I see no reason to have him on the court for us next year.

This may all be true. But if I had to guess, I'd bet Memo is treating these games like high speed training camp. Get in shape, get into a flow, avoid injury at all costs.

He looked like he is in decent shape. He moved up and down the court fairly well.
