What was your favorite video game as a kid?

I'm going back playing old school SNES games I never had or knew existed.

For instance I loved Street Fighter 2, I'm damn good but never played Alpha.

I'm not a huge RPG fan but I have the EARTHBOUND ROM to play on emulator. It goes for $200+ on Ebay! Many games I'm surprised go for 10$-$30 these days.

Carmageddon and Rise of Nations where my favorites. And of course all NBA live and FIFA releases.

Carmageddon was a awesome game

When I was a kid my favorite game was TMNT 2 on the NES. It was generous with the lives you got so you could beat it in one sitting. Also Contra was up there after the cheat code of course.

Contra, mega man, metroid, zelda, super Mario bros

Yar's Revenge. Jumpman on the C64. Zork. Gunship AH64 Apache Attack Helicopter.

Almost left out Castle Wolfenstein and I had an original beta copy of the first Doom along with full cheat codes IDDQD ftw.

Ancient versions of Football manager or Championship manager as it was back in the dark ages. Huge chunks of my life spent dragging the Hammers to glory

MSX: Knightmare, Kings Valley, Zanac and Yie Ar Kungfu 2 (i was in age 11-14 that time, 1986-1990), had access to Yamaha MSX computers once a week at Technical University in Tallinn). Only 4 computer were available to use (others were Microbees and Robotrons), however you had to arrive to the door at least 1,5 hours earlier, because other kids also wanted to use those MSX computers.

Robocop vs Terminator(better on Genesis) Castlevania(any and all), Gauntlet(nes), Streets of Rage 2, Donkey Kong Country

NJ has this retro gaming arcade.

I go here about 6 or 7 times a year. Love it. More geared towards the 35+ crowd; but if you look at the games list you'll see there is something for everyone.

If we are talking arcade games the best for me were track and field, elevator action, and Dragon's Lair. That last one was way ahead of its time, even if the interface was very simple and really it had to do with playing enough to memorize the outcome and then repeat it.

Anyone else remember this one.

I played tons of ninja Gaiden, final fight, and tekken in arcade form.

Layer on I liked killer instinct.

Anyone get into the old dungeon and dragons pc games? Eye of the Beholder! ah takes me back...
