What's new

Memphis Grizzlies @ Utah Jazz Sat. Nov. 7th @ 7pm MST

Where is Jamezz? We need that good luck jazz girl from the last thread!

Also, siro needs to make a bet

Anyone whatch the late TNT game? Portland did the same thing to Memphis they did to us. A Lillard and McCollum hammer job. Reggie was talking about how the traditional center/PF model might be dead regardless of your defense.

They remind me of the Suns from a couple of years back. Basically trying to tank, but end up being pretty good because of two really good PG they start together.

The Jazz score 94.2 ppg and allows 86.2 ppg. They shoot 42.5% FG and 35.2% from 3.

The Grizzlies score 92.8 ppg and allow 103.8 ppg. They shoot 41.4% FG and 26.3 from 3.

Damn dude, chill out.

The thing that is concerning me about the Jazz so far is while they have been in every game for the most part, they have come out lackadaisical in the 1st halves.

They just seem like they are going through the motions a bit until the 2nd half, usually towards the end of the 3rd quarter. Then they try to turn it on and win the game.

That is a habit that will bite them in the rear more often than not. Hope they curb that style of play soon!

Hayward still looks hurt to me. He isn't getting in a low crouch when he is dribbling which has been giving him really sloppy handles. He is pulling most of his shots short which means that he isn't following through with his form. I can't believe it is because he has added too much strength. I suspect he feels a bit of pain when fully stretching on his shot. He was looking like a world beater until he was body slammed in the preseason. He will get better. Hopefully he breaks out tomorrow.

He's been playing with a lot of intensity on the defensive end. Shot just isn't falling. He looked better in Denver though.

Memphis is one of the better ball moving teams, even with their terrible start. The Jazz are still one of the worst, even after Denver. I think the game will come down to this, I'm hoping to see 20+ assists from the Jazz at least.

Memphis sucks on the perimeter which is where we got killed by Portland. With how Memphis is playing, this is a very winnable game.

We should measure ourselves by how we play against quality opponents and this is the first quality opponent we've played this year. If we want to make the playoffs, we need to beat teams like this at home. Quin needs to send that message and we need to come out like wild dogs.

4-2 sounds waaaaaaay better than a hokum .500 3-3.

Let's ****ing do this.

The Jazz need the home crowd to be sold out and rocking. Hopefully Favs and Gobert can log heavy minutes against Gasol and Randolph, but the bigger key will be out PGs being able to keep Conley in front of them so he doesn't collapse the defense.
