If we can get by the Clippers tomorrow and again against Golden State on Thursday, we could be in position to take over 2nd place in the Northwest Division. The Nuggets next game is against the Clippers IN LA on Thursday (right after we play them), where Blake Griffin and Co. have been playing extremely well. A loss there to the Clips coupled with wins by us over the Clips and at Golden State would give us a 14-7 and them a 14-8 record. We would pass them in the standings. However, I am not counting my proverbial chickens before they are hatched. GO JAZZ!!!!

I kinda wish Denver had won because Denver=For sure playoff team while it could come down to us vs Memphis for the last spot.

Neither Denver nor Memphis are any better than we are. Why do people constantly rail on the Jazz? They are just as talented (if not more) than a lot of other teams in the Western Conference yet people still think we will be lucky to make the playoffs. I guess that I just don't get it.

We've played a ton of home games and only have a couple of quality wins. Most of the victories have come against teams missing key players. And the last few games haven't been exactly encouraging: an embarassing loss to Toronto, a blow out against a Dallas team missing Nowitzki and essentially, Kidd. Then saved by a Jimmer air ball. The win against Portland was nice, but Utah SHOULD win at home. Again, though, the performance was inconsistent. Unless Utah gets better wing and PG production, the Jazz will struggle to maintain a .500 record as they hit the road in February.

This just goes to show how much better the west is than the east.

In the west, other than OKC (who is great), there are a ton of good playoff contending teams. Probably at least 9. Teams who started without expectations like Utah and Minny are tough teams (who will sadly miss out on the playoffs). Teams like SA won't die. Teams like Houston... What the?????????? Are somehow winning? perennial bullies, like the Lakers and Mavs look extremely vulnerable. Previous doormats, like the Clippers, are power houses... Denver, is clearly better without Melo.

Sadly, some of these teams are going to be left out while some junkheap weakstern team with a sub .500 record will still be playing this summer. Sad.

After we rid ourselves of the retarded BCS, we need to rid ourselves of the retarded playoff system in the NBA. Take the top 16 and let them duke it out. If only 2 EC teams make it and all the rest come from the west, then so be it. Teams like the Jazz or Minny shouldn't be punished for be classified in the WC while teams like the crappy Bucks are rewarded.

Just look @ the west. If the playoffs started right now, Minny, Memphis, and Porty would be left out. All 3 of those teams are quality teams. All 3 of those teams when matched against anyone but the top 2 EC teams, would probably win in a 7 game series.

I think contrary to popular belief, having a much more competitive playoff system rather than a system based on regions would be much more profitable. Instead of watching Miami rape the Bucks (who the hell is going to watch this crap? No Buck fan wants to see their team destroyed by 30+. Yet the 5 Miami fans probably will fall asleep during the Lebron/Wade highlight film), you'd watch Miami slug it out against SA.

The big issues here is traveling.

Only thing I would change about the playoff seeding is giving the division winners a top 4 seed guaranteed. DO away with that all together and go by record 1-8. If five teams from one division get in than so be it.

Bench- Denver by far has better bench.

So please tell me how utah is more talented team then the nuggets? Ill be waiting

Well....tonight should go along well in telling us where the Jazz are. If we play well against LA a second time that says something. They are rested, and want pay back.
Can we deliver a second time?
