What's new

Miami all-star team

Chalmers - Arroyo?
Wade-
James
Bosh - Haslem
Big Z - J Anthony

IDK who else they have

I'm not convinced. I'll have to see them play together for a while.

The "big 3" will also need to play D at least most of the time. Big Z is 35, ain't gonna play a lot of minutes; I'd think they save him for the playoffs. They might actually use Miller and DWade together a lot in the backcourt; neither is a skilled PG, but their offense will be a lot of one-on-one anyway. If that combo works, neither Arroyo or Chalmers will see much court time...
The absolute key to beating them, IMO, is pound the ball inside and HOPE the officials actually will call fouls on these guys...

I'm sure they'll be a solid team - but having beaucoup talent alone is not the royal road to winning (case in point is the 2004 Athens team and the '06 World Championship team, etc.).

There's so much hype surrounding this team that if they don't win 2 out of 5 championships then I feel they'll be labeled as guys who never played up to their potential.

This coming year I'll guess they win 61 games and lose in the conference finals to Boston.

Guys like Van Gundy get paid to make outrageous statements... he can't possibly think they will be unbeatable with the supporting cast surrounding their superstars.

Good team = yes. Great team = maybe.

In Orlando, Sports writers are speculating JVG said that to put some extra Heat on Miami. Stan VanGundy just happens to be Orlando's coach...

I guess we know how Udonis is subsidizing his income after signing for the veteran's minimum.

He needs to be able to provide for his family. We all know you can't support a family on the vet min.

They will be regular season monsters winning between 65-70 games. LA will stop them dead in their tracks with Gasol and Bynum.
