Michael Beasley Anyone?

We..... have talked about trading for him before. Yet there must be a reason that they are letting him go.

It seems that every team has at least one headcase. Who is ours? I think it might be Burks. (obviously mild) Anyone else? Kanter? Kind of.

No, he might make a scene and distract from the goals of this team. It is tempting though.

You think Burke is our headcase? He hasn't even played a game yet and folks are already making judgement calls on him. I am specifically leaving him out of our 'core' players because I haven't seen him play yet, how could I label him as a head case?

Also, from what I've read and heard and seen in youtube videos, he seems to be a great team guy. You know, the opposite of head case.

What, the thing where he didn't brown nose the hell out of us by saying that he'd raise his grandkids here? If there's one thing I do like about him is his honesty. He's trying us out the same as we are trying him out. He doesn't know if he'll be here forever because he doesn't know if this is the right place for him. I can't expect him to love us without any experience any more than I feel I should hand over the team to him sight unseen.

BTW, I think the 'trade Deron' move had more to do with him throwing a BBall at Hayward's head than it did with not flattering management with words of love and devotion to the team. Want to talk about headcases, Deron was way up the list. Dude was surly.
 
If we were to put a truth detector on every player in the NBA, they would fail the majority of the time. Most everyone wants to play in a big market, very few want to come here, and the only reason players do is because they feel that this is a good organization for them, and that doesn't come until after they play here for a while. (or we offer more money, which doesn't seem likely under new management)

See, mantis said "another career up in smoke" and beasley has a rep for liking to smoke pot..... so I thought it may have been a clever pun by mantis.
