Looks like some of us Jazz fans, including me are going to be happy about Michael Stockton getting another chance to crack the roster.

Anybody else excited to the watch the heady young lefty?

By my account, he would've put a great 3rd option PG, a much better shooting one than Watson anways.

Jody Genessy: It appears from Michael Stockton's Twitter account that he will also be in Orlando with the Utah Jazz. Twitter @DJJazzyJody

The only thing I don't like about it is people would want him to be great like his dad or to start. Kind of like Seth Curry, people assume he could be steph.

I think most of us realize Michael will never be the player his dad was, statistically.

Although, I think he can bring that same kind of work ethic, competitiveness, and team-first mentality. That's all anyone can really ask for.

He shot 59%/38% for Karlsruhe (Germany) last season.

In the 2nd league. He doesn't have his dad's court vision. Neither scoring. If you guys have hopes he can make a roster, you are kidding yourselves. He's not even capable of playing a major role in the German 1st division just to put it in a context after some people hated on that league when drafting Schröder was discussed.

I know nothing about the German leagues, but shooting translates. I'm not saying he has his dad's game. Who does? But he might be able to stick as a 3rd PG.

another note of irrelevance;
I had visited Karlsruhe on the my journey back from Strassbourg, France.

Well Summer League is a week away. You can convince yourself there. But my point is: I hate kids getting signed just for their last name. And if the motivation is getting John Stockton on board to practice with Burke, it's probably worth signing him as a practice dummy. But it would be pretty disrespectful towards his kid from John.

You'd be an ultimate dumbass to presume Mike Stockton would be anywhere near great as his dad. He went undrafted and hasn't played in the league yet so who would put stipulations on MS?

Michael Stockton just doesn't have the athletic ability to make it in the NBA, simple as that. If he were bigger he'd have the skills but at his size he needs to be a lot quicker and he just doesn't have it.

I lied. I was born like 102km away, lol. Never realized that Stuttgart and Karlsruhe are so close

I lived in Mannheim for 5 months as a missionary. :-)

My grandparents lived in Heilbronn for many years, which is a little south of Mannheim. I know we used to always drive through Mannheim whenever we'd go north
