Millers sell the Jazz

I mean... The most $$$$ they ever paid a player was Mike Conley this year... what a joke, shameful, whoevers responsible for that should apoligize publically... the Millers were let down by the "EXPERTS" they hired in the front office... I've been here saying for years that I could do at least this good of a job.... and now the dust has settled..

I still cant freaking believe the day of the Mike Conley trade they said "we've been trying to get him for years" that still blows my mind. I knew team had 0% chance to win the chip. It's not right what they did, not right to Rudy and D Mitchell.

This last regime so obviously didnt have its ducks in order... How could u be anything less than thrilled with this if ur a real jazz fan?!

I quit rooting for the Jazz a few years back, it just seemed completely hopeless and like there's pseudointellectuals running things, i was getting Knicks vibes. Now, to me, there's hope.

I just hate to see it... The story goes the Millers were super loyal to Paul Millsap right? this **** that we've seen the last buncha years, Millsap woulda been fine here...

I hate that the people they hired distorted things like that... I'm left with a bad taste in my mouth...

I knew it this whole time tho.. I really dont think anyone on this forum isolated the issue quite like i did... I could smell the fumes this team was running on from faaaar away...

Strange place for that rant but sure

how many people have used "the millers" or "the way of the millers" as some sort of defense to my arguments here over the years?? that 'trump card' was pulled by many...

and today is the day those arguments cease... I always said they'll NEVER win like this, and today is the day we know that for sure. They're out the game ringless, and running their mouths from the sidelines, just like Charles Barkley.

the mess has been made, and now it's been passed off for someone else to clean... so we can now talk with some finality about the mess that was made, and how we reached the current state of affairs.

have people not been using the basic defense of "thats not how they do things around here.." for so many years??? to which ive been replying

"the way they do things around here sucks"

giphy.gif

pretty sure that sums up a great deal of the arguments ive had when talking about the team.

who on this forum has been calling people out in the FO for doing a ****** job more than me?!? I was on here laughing "i could do these guys jobs better and for cheaper"...

all these front office fatcats that users been defending here for years, they all failed today... those people who got hired to bring the millers a championship can never do it now... the window has closed...

there's along list of users here who took those arguments with me too.. to laugh at me... well here i am.. on the day the **** blew up, just chillin, and im here lookin at all the pie on the faces of the front office EXPERTS

Ya know the Lakers won the championship this year.... again.... Ive been here long enough to see y'all kick the Lakers when their down, and now very quickly it's come full circle..

The whole time Utah's just mired in this mediocrity...

This aint competitive man... whoever sold u that crock of **** was lying... I'm glad they've got new owners, the last ones didnt know how to pull themselves up off the mat and keep fighting... It was like they got their bell rung and were just wobbling around trying to survive the round..

U CANT WIN IN THE NBA GIVING OUT BAD HUGE CONTRACTS, unless u have an obscene amount of talent -- which the Jazz certainly do not...

Hayward?!?!??!?!

MIKE CONLEY HIGHEST PAID PLAYER IN FRANCHISE HISTORY?!?!?

thats all u need to know... those 2 deals right there... obviously there's idiots in charge.. alright maybe their not idiots, im sure they can put their clothes on and drive to work and use the potty without making too big of a mess, but the jobs their being paid to do, their unfit for, CLEAR LACK OF COMPETENCY

why the hell would the millers want this team when the people they hire, want to give the biggest contracts out to MASSIVE UNDERPERFORMERS??!?!?!?

**** u wanna talk about morale.... go spend $30,000,000 on a season of Mike Conley, then tell me how u feel.... No wonder why they sold it... the EXPERTS they believed in sold them lies..

yall wanna sit in threads like these and talk about buisness... but dont wanna discuss the balance sheet thats ****ED thats public knowledge and out for all to see... that buku bux is put into planning every year..

Is he Mormon? He graduated from BYU so there’s a good chance. I don’t think he’d move the team.
Yes. He grew up here... he ain’t moving the team... he played Jr Jazz for hells sake. We are in great hands and I think he’s got a little more dough he can commit to the team.

The big "What if" for me isnt, What if Hayward stayed, that was always doomed IMO (which is probably even more sad than what im about to say, cuz the vision was just scuffed here, it always was). It's what if they took Dennis Schroder instead of Trey Burke.... to me...

what if they didnt have to keep throwing good $$$ at bad PG solutions? then how different would this have all looked?!? Instead they were shackled by it, and greedily overspent resources, yet it still festered....

I hate to see them fail when you have such blunders year after year after year at the same spot on the depth chart, a crucial position of the highest order in the NBA... madness... and u pay all these people to prevent this **** from happening, and its the same thing every year...

I wanted to draft Brandon Knight instead of Kanter

The NBA would be a lot better off moving the Grizzlies, Pistons, Hornets, Twolves to Seattle. Again they want to create more value for the league overall and those franchises are attracting less $$$$ than SLC (a growing market).

Honestly... if they need a new arena then Utah should get that **** done. Millers have been pretty generous to the state with how they have done business. I think the market would support it.

I really hope you're not suggesting the Utah taxpayers subsidize a new stadium/arena. It's immoral to even consider it. The man is a billionaire and while I know that new stadiums/arenas are not cheap by any means, these deals never ever even come close to paying back taxpayers long-term. Study after study shows this. Now I believe he is a Utah Jazz fan and will keep the franchise in Utah. However, if there's ever talk from him about a publicly funded stadium/arena, then he can move the franchise as far as I am concerned. Let Seattle waste their taxpayer dollars.

just like Charles Barkley.

What if Gail sold the team because she wanted to see them win a championship before she dies? And realized it wasn't going to happen without going over the cap, so did what she could to make Larry's dream come true?

It’s very clearly what I’m suggesting... at least partially. I get that it isn’t going to get a full return... most taxpayer dollars don’t. Other markets that are willing to do it will help with an arena. It’s just kinda the deal. I wonder if the Seattle taxpayers would fund an arena to have the Sonics back.

In a perfect world owners wouldn’t request funds... but if most other owners are getting that type of support then that’s likely going to be part of the trade off of having a team. You might be willing to let them leave but others would think otherwise.

He sold Qual for 8billion. He bought the Jazz for not even 2. I'm pretty sure he can spend another 1 billion on an arena before asking the community for help
