Millsap for Bledsoe?

Spencer Hall from Salt City Hoops is tweeting the Jazz think Bledsoe is a bad bit on and off the floor and aren't inclined to do it.

Yep

"@saltcityhoops: The rumors about the Jazz going after Bledsoe run entirely counter to some conversations wherein I was told the Jazz aren't interested. FWIW"

"@saltcityhoops: I was told "the numbers are low and he isn't a good 'Jazz' fit, on or off the court." I still think they'd take him for certain players."

In KOC I trust. If he's not a good fit then it's a no go.

Odom and Bledsoe for Millsap.

Get it done.

The best part of this trade is Corbin would get a vet back and Odom could be our starting pf. We don't want to rush our young players. And Bledsoe could sit behind Tinsley/Watson and learn a few things.
Or Odom could be waived and return to the Clippers. Or did the new CBA close that loophole?
Better yet, that allows Odom to go to the Lakers, who badly need another big.

Of course, it can't be disclosed that the Jazz would waive an acquired player...that's always been against the rules. But for our "understanding," the Jazz could send Braille to the Lakers for a 2nd round pick. Have to do something like that first, since the Jazz need to open up a roster spot.

In fact, the Miller's tightwadedness may prevent a deal from getting done. Had they just paid Roger and let him go, they'd have an extra roster spot open to swing 2-1 deals. Certainly, with the salaries of Al and Paul they had to believe it was highly likely those would be the kinds of deals available. Trades often come together at the very last minute. I think Deron's deal was faxed to the league office with about 15 mins to spare. That's why KOC couldn't flip Harris, eventhough he admitted he was working on it but just ran out of time.

Do we really want to give Millsap to the Clippers though? I mean, that would be a HUGE boost to their team. If he likes it so much that he re-signs, it could really bite us in the *** for future competition.

I actually have a hard time believing Millsap resigns with the Clippers, as I don't think he wants to play backup to Griffin.

That loophole was closed. If a team trades a player that player can not rejoin the team for a certain time period. I don't know if it is 1 year or the rest of that season though.

I for 1 would make a lot more effort to watch Jazz games if they did both this and the SA deal with Jefferson. My interest in the team would rise exponentially and I may watch more that the 8-10 full games I've seen so far this year.
.
I have not been this disinterested in watching the team since I started watching 30 years ago. :(

For all those saying don't trade Millsap, and want to trade Jefferson instead...Millsap will be gone at the end of the year, anyway. If we bring in Bledsoe we won't resign Jefferson or Mo Willams--we'd be thinking about Hayward, Favs, and Bledsoe's contracts. A trade for Bledsoe is a full commitment to the future, i.e. it's what we've been hoping for. The one thing I'd say is if this DID happen (and they might just be using us as fake leverage for a trade for Garnett), we'd have to start Bledsoe right away--that means not putting him behind Mo Williams for the rest of the year; we'd want to send him the message that he's our guy.

They might mean more of the fact that he likes the big city lights. Some players just have no interest in playing in a small market if they have a choice.
Those guys can change their minds once they actually play for a team though. One of my biggest complaints about the Jazz franchise is their reliance on getting "Jazz" players. Just get players and maybe they are "Jazz" players once in the system.

Who wants to play in the great city of Utah? Few African Americans, not much night life, no beach, suck weather, poorest air quality in the nation, too many Mormons, jacked up liquor laws, etc. from a professional athletes perspective, Utah and Green Bay might be thee worst places in all of pro sports. At least the city of Utah is close to Vegas.

Actually he says he's a bad "Jazz" fit. Jazz probably would consider it but not for Millsap.

Really? We are surrounded by "bad fits". What is he talking about?

And do they still have a future plan that including Milsap? That's ridicolous.

And thanks god they're judging new possible additions as a "bad" or "good" fit. Or we would be doomed!

I love Millsap. I think he's pretty much perfect for an Al-less future and cemented in a 3-big rotation. But I'm also worried the Jazz lose him for nothing. I would love to see how Millsap plays with no Al in the picture, but you can't lose an asset for nothing and the romance might be gone.

However, if Millsap is moved and not Al, I am going to **** everyone's pants.

The Jazz would likely look at trading Burks or Kanter if they get Bledsoe. Not right away, but at least before Burks or Kanter are due for extensions.

I don't know if this is true, but if it is then **** that the trade. Burks and Kanter both could easily end up being better than Bledsoe's scrub ***.
