Millsap for Bledsoe?

Cyrone is against????? That's got to be good, lol.

Not against, just on the fence. Depends on what we would have to give up in addition to Sap, because I know it's just not Sap for Bledsoe + Filler. I would be against it if Burks was involved, on the fence if Warriors pick is involved, and probably for it if it's just our pick.

Btw, there is likely something going on with Eric..
(not necessarily Utah)

Because I texted him and asked what's going on and he said, "No comment" (with smiley).. Which means he can't discuss. That's a definite something going on that he's included in.. Tifwiw, but I'm sure.

If he comes here this board will be overjoyed. I like Bledsoe the player, but even more than Bledsoe the player it would signal to me that the front office is forward thinking and realizes that we need to make some moves to really be a contender.

I really hope you're right on this one PKM. Bledsoe is one of my favorites to watch and getting him would make the rest of this year SO much more fun.

You prefer the Warriors pick to our own? I think it's likely we would miss the playoffs if we trade Millsap.

But they can't shoot and they are not under the age of 30, so what's your point?

You responded to someone who said "We need someone who can pass" with (smart-*** response) "Like Tinsley or Watson". My point is we need a player who looks to pass like those guys, but has offensive capability. Someone like Burke.

You are not helping this board, especially me. I've enjoyed thinking about a team led by our young guys and Bledsoe, but I've spent the afternoon convincing myself that it won't happen.

And the best you had to go and post what you did. Thanks for helping me to waste my entire afternoons work.

The Clips will probably reassess their situation at the end of the season and try to bring in FAs to play in LA with Chris Paul and Blake Griffin. Not a bad situation. They have several players becoming FAs at season's end, including Millsap, and will have some flexibility. The fact that Sap is expiring might actually be seen as a plus.

Keep in mind, Dwight is out there saying he doesn't like the Laker situation and that he likes LA. Put 1 + 1 together. They can trade DAJ for small wings, and they'll have a Big Three with whichever FA they want.

Being an attraction for free agents makes the Clippers' logic entirely different from ours.

Now I'm starting to think this deal will happen.

If I'm the Clips, I win now, make a run in this year's playoffs, then keep the momentum going to recruit my choice of free agents and trade DeAndre Jordan this summer. The Clips are going to have their choice of Dwight, Josh Smith, and anyone else. It's just a question of how many of their players are expiring this summer and how much cap they'll have.

Then the Jazz get Bledsoe as insurance in case they don't get a PG they want in the 2013 or 2014 draft. They could also move Bledsoe in a deal for Rondo.

The chess pieces move.

WOW!!

Something's going down!!! I haven't been more excited this entire season. Make it happen KOC!!!

I think we would be slightly worse, but I think it would be minimal. Plus we should have Hayward coming back soon, and hopefully Mo in the not so distant future.

I'm keeping true to my season beginning prediction that the Warriors will crash and fall towards the 2nd half of the season.

I agree with all of this.

I would add that if the Clips throw in their 14 pick then I'm good with anything being included except for Burks.

Have you seen the Celtics game? You need to watch it if you think Bledsoe can't pass.

Just go watch it bro.

Would he actually be happy to leave LA? I'm sure he yearns for a starting job/more minutes, but those aren't a guarantee if he goes to Utah.

Every player in NBA is capable of producing an outstanding game once in a while. Even Sundiata had a couple of excellent games for us.
In each game he got more than 20 minutes he produced 5 AST or more while Bledsoe when given more than 20 minutes 27 times this year produced 5 or more AST on only 13 occasions.
Not saying Bledsoe is Gaines. My point is one game means not much.

It's not just the 10 assists that he got. There were numerous times where the drove & dish and shooters missed the shots. I can remember at least 4 times when he did that. Also his 1st shot attempt came in at the 5min. mark of the 2nd Quarter and he had about 5 assists by that point. I think that shows that he's a team player as well and is a willing passer.

Also you need time to develop these skills, playing behind Chris Paul doesn't help.
