Let me answer.I feel like these rumors may have something to them, so I decided to sign up. And first off, I'd like to apologize for some of those ridiculous comments made from some clipper fans on that forum. I promise not all of us are that stupid.
Regarding Bledsoe, he's an athletic freak. He's got a huge wingspan despite being around 6'0. Elite defender (blocks shots, gets a ton of steals...), no mid-range jumpshot but an okay 3-point shooter, that part of his game will improve. He does turn the ball over a lot, but his role right now is to be an energy guard off the bench, his decision making will get better as well. I really wish we could keep him but it looks like Utah might be the best spot for him.
I'd love to get Millsap on the clippers but my main concerns are:
- Would he take a paycut or sign an extension?
- Is he okay with coming off the bench?
- Can he start at Small Forward and be effective?
My feeling is that he'd leave in the offseason for more cash and a starting gig.
But the suspense is killing me!! I can't wait till thursday.
Let me answer.
1. Paycut is very unlikely
2. Even more unlikely unless he signed a long term contract with good money and playing for a championship caliber team.
3. No. He needs to start at PF and then slide to SF to be effective there.
We've still got three days to go..

Millsap turned down the richest possible contract extension he could be offered by the jazz before the season started. And many believe he won't resign in the offseason because of Favors and Kanter, who are viewed as the future at pf and C, and has made it quite clear, that he doesn't want to come off the bench, but that might be just for us. Some feel he would be fine with coming off the bench for a contender.I feel like these rumors may have something to them, so I decided to sign up. Lol.starting to get discouraged. Any news? (Kentucky fan?)
What since when did fans have to convince fans???Bro, when you're trying to sell something, you don't always have to be 100% honest.
The Clippers are willing to listen to offers for Eric Bledsoe, but are by no means determined or even necessarily willing to deal him. Though it's all but a foregone conclusion that Chris Paul will re-sign with the Clippers this summer, rival execs are skeptical that the Clips would risk trading Bledsoe if there's even the slightest doubt about CP3's future -- not to mention the slightest possibility of an injury to the All-Star MVP that would derail their push to contend for a title this season. Conversations with the Celtics about Kevin Garnett are dormant for now as both teams evaluate their options.
The Thunder are listening to offers for backup point guard Eric Maynor, who is eager for more playing time. Maynor will be a restricted free agent this summer. Utah needs a backup point guard and would be a good fit, but sources say the Jazz front office is consumed with the dilemma of whether to trade Jefferson or Paul Millsap.
As a clipper fan, I'd like to apologize for a few of those idiots who don't realize how good Millsap is and what exactly Bledsoe's value is. We're not all that bad haha.
- Would he take a paycut or sign an extension?
I think the main reason he didn't take the extension here was because he wasn't guaranteed a starting job next year. He wants to start and he believes he is a starter.
No, the main reason was money. The Jazz couldn't offer him as much money in an extension as he felt he could get in the off season.
Ya'll are getting your hopes up waaay to high.
Tempted to neg.
Do it then. Just trying to shed some perspective. Where are the indications that this trade is anywhere close to imminent? There are none. Carry on.
Anyone have the new insider story on this?
