Millsap for Bledsoe?

I love Paul's game and I'll be sad to see him go. I've met him a couple of times and he is a great dude. That being said, I'll be so ****ing stoked if this deal goes down. It's almost too perfect.

I wouldn't even care if we threw in the two firsts. Its worth it to get Bledsoe. And at some point you have got to move forward and stop with the rebuilding with rookies.

I wonder what Chris Paul makes of the Bledsoe for Millsap trade. It seems they'd want his stamp of approval for any trades before he actually signs the extension.

The thing that held up the Celtics trade is that Boston wanted DeAndre. The Clippers aren't trading Jordan.
I thought it was Garnett holding up that trade with his no trade clause. I don't buy that the Clippers are doing everything to keep Jordan. The Clippers don't even trust him enough to play him over Odom in the 4th quarter.

this is great great news!!

Clips don't have a defense without Jordan, using Al as a super sub next to Chauncey is almost too perfect. Clippers full a skill-set they have absolutely none of at the moment in addition to the depth that immediately improves their bench pretty dramatically.

If the Celtics were able to find a deal for Garnett, I think they would have pulled a deal on Pierce also. They were either going to find two trades they liked for each player and pull them both, or none at all.

If this deal goes down let's say at the latest it can (Thursday afternoon) I would assume he could go for us against his former team on Saturday?

I also think with Rondo and Bradley the Celtics like Bledsoe, but aren't obsessed with him. Hard to justify trading away two really great Celtics in order to tank out of the playoffs for a crappy rebuild.

Some interesting quotes from the article:

The Celtics won't consider moving Garnett to the Clippers for any other combination of players, and won't revisit the talks unless Bledsoe and Jordan are in the package, sources said.

Garnett is obviously better for a title run than Millsap, but the fact that Boston also wants Jordan will help us get this done.

Boston hasn't approached Garnett to waive his no-trade clause without an agreement in place, but there's strong belief he would ultimately agree to it.

That's not good news. I thought Garnett made it clear he wanted to end his career in Boston?
