So here it is!

The first proposed Jazzfanz mini meetup.

Memphis at Utah 7pm mdt

When: See above, show up at around 7pm or whenever you feel like.

Where: AllStar Lanes, West Jordan (1776 W 7800 S)

What: Bowling, hanging out, watching game.

Why: There are probably no good reasons...

How: Show up, preferably in a Jazzfanz or Utah Jazz shirt or other attire. Look for other people wearing Jazz stuff.

So how this will work is that if anyone else at all is interested it is on. No need to RSVP or make a commitment. If it's on, it's on and if that night you want to be there doing that then show up. I'll be wearing my Jazzfanz shirt. It'll say Gameface on the back. That will be me. You should also wear either a Jazzfanz shirt or a Utah Jazz shirt so it's easier to tell that you're there for the mini meetup. There is no limit on how many people can show up. If once a few of us are there and we're ready to bowl we'll get going. Everyone pays for their own bowling, shoe rental, etc. There is a bar attached to the bowling alley. If bowling doesn't happen or if there are people who would rather watch the game in there, then that's cool. If you don't see Jazzfanz bowling, check the bar.

Alright! All I need is one other person interested and it's a go.

P.S., was gonna do this for preseason, but there wasn't a weekend televised game that didn't interfere with other stuff.

So what's a Jazzfanz mini meetup?

It's just a way for Jazzfanz to get together to watch games and have fun. It can be just about anywhere. Bar, restaurant, bowling alley, someone's house, behind the woodshed, whatever. Anyone can propose one. Just make a thread with your idea, time and place and see if it's on. It could be as simple as saying "I'm gonna be at Bout Time for the game tomorrow." and then be there wearing Jazz related gear (preferably a Jazzfanz shirt) and meet other people from Jazzfanz if they show up.

Seems like bowling and watching a basketball game at the same time would be difficult.

Have you been bowling before?

Besides, if a person wants to focus on the game they can not bowl and watch it on the TVs above the lanes, or they can sit in the bar and watch it there.

This **** is super breezy. Low commitment, low stress, low expectations. If this sounds like a thing to do then do it. If not, don't.

I will be there. Bowling and watching basketball is easy as ****.

I will be in the Burks or Gobert or favors Jersey.

Love those bowling lanes btw. Nice, full size bar and good food too despite haveing good lanes

I would come but I don't live in Utah :(

In High School we had a class that just went bowling everyday.

$2 a day for 2 games. I took the class twice and I think I ended up with a 180 average. Haven't been bowling since.

Maybe we could do it in Chicago sometime?

And I'm actually about to leave for my Sunday night league. Trying to think of a new team name - we've been "The Amazing Pick-Ups" for the past three seasons.

Are there any other known Jazzfanzers in Chicago? If so, you should do it. If not, anyone traveling to Chicago should post so that it can go down while you're there.

Moe, how aware are you of the Naval Training Center in Great Lakes? Obviously I was in boot camp there, but then I spent the first nine months after boot camp there as well. We had an apartment in Zion, Il. I really didn't take advantage of my time there as I only ventured into Chicago about four times, never went to Milwaukee.

With house balls too lol. I got the art of spinning the ball down. The key is to only put your ring finger in the ball.
Interesting.
I will have to try that
