Utah is allowing a league-worst 104.2 points on the road,#27 in FG% allowed at 47.5%; #27 in 3pt% 39.2%;

Jazz two best 5 man line-ups (10 mins min) have 4 of the 5 players the same -- Harris, Hayward, Howard, Favors - then either Millsap or Al

Gordon Hayward 3 ball shooting a key to Jazz -- In Wins 11 of 32 (34%) in losses 3 for 26 (12%)

Different world for Sap -- Last 8 Paul Millsap 11 FGA per game 13 pts 11 rebs 42%FG ; previous 13 games was 14 FGA; 23 pts 10 rebs 57%

Jazz struggle offensively w/ Favors and Kanter = Jazz Pts per 100 possessions on floor/off floor Favors=99.5/106.6 Kanter= 98.9/105.9

Raja Bell has hit a three pointer in 13 straight games -- 4th longest active streak in the NBA

Jazz are still doing a great job defending the three point line - Last 7 opponents 39-142 (27.4%)

Jazz have trailed by 15 in 4 of the last 5 games -- had only trailed by 15 in 4 previous games all year (3 of 1st 4)

Jazz have lost 5 of 6 - in that 6 games stretch Jazz have been outscored on 2nd half points by 29. Prior 19 games Jazz were +100

Jazz have trailed after the 1st quarter in 6 of the last 7 games

Utah Jazz have not lead at halftime in any of their 9 road games

There is a lot there, but some conclusions:
-Favors and Kanter are coming along.
-Maybe the Favors/Kanter and Milsap/Al lineups should be mixed up so that we can even out offense and defense. I have noticed that it can be painful to get a bucket when Favors/Kanter are in...for either team.
-Raja Bell seems to be producing what he is supposed to. It appears to be a post-baby thing.
-Josh Howard has been abysmal post-injury.
-Sap is in a FUNK, tired?
-road games are especially tough for this young team.

I agree with switching up the bigs.. I really want to see Millsap's midrange game with Kanter's low post game. I think it would benefit the young bigs to get more playing time with the veteran bigs. Also, Favors' help defense would help Al's nonexistent defense.

-Yes, yes, yes, yes: mix Favors/Kanter with Big slow and Sap.
-Sap is an overachiever who just cannot keep up the supreme effort to produce all star numbers consistently. Jazz better recognize that and not count on those numbers.
- Josh looks over the hill now.
- Its not a young team.
-Raja is okay now. Adds little to the offense but if he can hit 3s then it is okay. Would still rather see some of his minutes go to Burks.

I like how in the Memphis game Millsap was pulled early so Favors could play next to Jefferson. Kanter and Favors played together shortly then Kanter and Millsap played together. I think that should happen a lot more. Millsap should still start but he should come out pretty soon so he can play more of his minutes when Jefferson is on the bench.

Actually, I would want Derrick Favors to start will Jefferson to give us more length and athleticism at the four and five spots. You then bring Millsap in as the sixth man with Kanter. Also, if Josh Howard continues to struggle, maybe we should give Jeremy Evans his minutes for the time being. One last thing: I would like Alec Burks to eventually take over Raja Bell's minutes as the starting shooting guard. Probably not this season, but eventually next season. Bell will be 36 years old by the start of next season. He needs to start considering retirement.

Raja has played extremely well lately. Burks should be taking over Howards minutes, not Bells.

Raja has played better, not "extremely well". He has never been an "extremely good" player. If he can hit some 3s he is acceptable. If not he is a waste. Still need to see him give minutes to Burks because Burks has the potential to be way better than Raja ever was.

I might be one of the only who likes having Kanter and Favors out on the floor. I think they need to develop chemistry

Takes balls to say that around here, or use common sense.

Not really. I said the same thing earlier today in the game thread. I think there is a general agreement that Bell is doing what is expected of him, and Howard isn't.

I'm the biggest Bell hater you'll ever done meet, but anyone who thinks that Howard should be playing over Bell is dum.

As long as Burks gets his 10 minutes a game.
