Mitchell is a Better PG Prospect than Exum

I wish Jazz it was another team with a **** ton of pfs instead of Denver. No way they will trade with us ever again right? Wilson would be a good pickup along with some others from them.

It's close but I think Exum's handle is a little better, and he's 6'6" so will always have a big advantage in vision and getting passes off.

Mitchell is a good PG prospect. Pleasantly surprised at his feel for facilitating the offense and comfort with the ball in the halfcourt, his vision, ability to slow things down, change pace, ball handling and overall passing ability.

I love Exum but Mitchell is already better than him and he is still a rookie. Mitchell is fearless and isn't afraid to take it to the rim unlike Exum who likes to settle for the outside shot. However, the Exum of this summer is what I was expecting during his rookie year. I think he's starting to get the hang of it and used to, which is a big plus.

With GH out of the way, I feel Exum and Mitchell will have more opportunity to show what they can do. GH leaving might be a blessing in disguise for the whole Jazz team this year.

Unrelated but how do I find the post where I said he has the chance to be the best player from this draft so I can put it in my signature?

Dante first step and size is great but lightning quick reactions are needed for PG play. He is way way better suited for SG or SF not PG. A passing SG who can spend some time at PG would be great.

The pair of them could terrorise the league with their ball hawking in the back court. Could be something

There's a place for both of them. I got a dislike after the first game in Utah for saying that Mitchell would be taking some of Dante's minutes. What I like about Mitchell is that he's more assertive and more confrontational - he's more the alpha dog. However, that being said, Exum has some kind of Zen energy awareness that contributes to the whole team playing better around him I've discovered. We haven't won a game in Summer League since Exum left and we didn't lose when he played.

When Exum plays with a good Big he plays well. When he runs the pick and roll with Gobert things go well for him. When he ran the pick and roll with Diaw it was awful. Maybe Exum needs chemistry with Favors if he ends up getting minutes with him off the bench. Running more plays for both those players would be good for both of them.

I also think Exum is more advantageous at playing against PGs. He can get by a lot of them with his first step and they are not long enough to recover like SGs can.

Mitchell looks and acts like a SG to me. He can drive and kick but that is just as much a SG thing as a PG thing. Plus I think Exum is better suited to guard PGs and Mitchell SGs. But both are fairly interchangeable on both offense and defense, which will be really nice for Snyder to play with.

Did you see the smile on Quin's face?

Yeah, I think Exum and Mitchell will give him headaches and smiles throughout the season. Hopefully a lot more smiles though. I would really like to see Inlges play a bit with them. He can bail them both out, provide some leadership on the court. Run plays if they need him to, hit shots if they need him to and play great defense that allows all 3 of them to switch. Maybe get JJ and Favors at the same time. That is a deadly bench unit. Hopefully come playoff time Mitchell wont have hit a wall and will be playing well. That could be a lot of fun.

Don't worry, I got a dislike too when I said Dante better watch his back or he'll end up being like Trey Burke. lol But both can gel together is what I've noticed. Two years from now, let Rubio walk and have these two run the backcourt.

I agree with you 100%. Exum plays best as a PG and Mitchell will play best as a SG. I think the better way to put it is that Exum is a driving, passing guard and Mitchell is a slashing, scoring guard.
