Mitchell is a Better PG Prospect than Exum

Exum will play alot of basketball this year at PG and SG but he will make his impact and name as a PG,whether it's for the Jazz or another team.He knows what he's best at and where he'll make his money whether Jazz fanz like it or not.
He already knows he can get to the basket at will and it won't make sense to try to make him a different type player than what he's best at.
He's playing for a contract and I'm not sure it's with Utah in mind.

I wonder how many times people have to explain the concept of restricted free agency to you before it sinks in.

Locke said 6'3 shooting guards are not dominant and that to be dominant Mitchell will have to be a PG. That said, if both blossom let's make Exum the SG and Mitchell the PG and have them split playmaking duties.

This worries me. Locke reflects the thinking of the FO and coaching staff. It seems to me they think like Cy and only see a future as SG for X. Now that DM is on the scene it is prob going to be apparent that despite his wingspan he is undersized as an NBA SG and that will help convince them that the move to pg is necessary.

Seriously. If DM is considered a better PG option by the Jazz but they still try to keep X... I hope he takes the QO next summer.

On a podcast today Kevin Pelton said that DM looked like a mini Kwahi with the things he does on defense... said if he is making shots he is an amazing player.

So DM is a mix of Dame and Kwahi and my pants are wet.

0% chance that Exum takes the QO.

I see Exum as being weened back in as the backup PG behind Mitchell. (Although hopefully the injury hasn't set him back...Next year I imagine Ingles will be coming off the bench with Exum unless they decide to keep Hood as 6th man).

A great thing about DM is that he is also humble and seems willing to continue working hard to improve (unlike some other rookies we've had come through)

Best assessment of Mitchell on the board, to be honest.

Except neither guy could shoot and Rose never really played defense. I think he’s a bigger Dame that plays defense. His only real flaw is the two foot jumping but he’s working around it well.

People keep saying Mitchell can't and doesn't go off one foot. Do you watch him play or are you just sheeping what other people have said?

Man it would be interesting to see Mitchell and Exum together. Exum might be starting over Rubio at this point if he wasn't injured.

Though Mitchell looks very capable of playing point and that might be what we end up doing.

The one foot thing is about him not being vertically explosive off 1 foot. It never had anything to do with him being incapable of converting layups off 1 foot.
