Mitt Romney apparently tells 533 lies in 30 weeks

It's about time a right wing slanted website posted some actual fact about Romney, that would be considered liberal topics.
To me, it's not about liberal or conservative.
It's about picking the right guy for the job, and Romney nor Obama provide the credentials for being president of the United States.

After going through the website, they seem to (at least, lately) have more pro-Bama stuff than Romney. But you go back, and theres articles from writers who talk about supporting Romney despite being Evangelical. Doesn't strike me as too partisan in any sense

Founded in 2008, Patheos.com is the premier online destination to engage in the global dialogue about religion and spirituality and to explore and experience the world's beliefs. Patheos is the website of choice for the millions of people looking for credible and balanced information about religion. Patheos brings together faith communities, academics, and the broader public into a single environment, and is the place where many people turn on a regular basis for insight, inspiration, and stimulating discussion. Patheos is unlike any other religious and spiritual site on the Web today.
As evidenced by the company founders' story, religion and spirituality continue to be an important part of American life, with more Americans today than ever before identifying themselves as spiritual. In fact, according to the Pew Internet Project, more than 82 million Americans (and 64 percent of all Internet users) utilize the Web for faith-related matters. The importance of religion and spirituality, coupled with the growing use of the Internet for religious matters, point to the ongoing need for an online resource for religious and spiritual engagement and dialogue. Patheos fills this need.
Patheos is a place to:
Find accurate, balanced information on the world's religions in our extensive library.
View religious history and facts through unique interactive tools that allow visitors to compare, contrast, and explore religions and belief systems in new and innovative ways.
Participate in the global dialogue on religion and spirituality through responsible, moderated discussions on critical issues across religious traditions.
Read commentary on current events from a wide range of viewpoints.
Follow your favorite bloggers and columnists.
Engage with others from various faith traditions.
Get a glimpse into the beliefs and traditions of other faith groups in a safe and welcoming environment.

Wow, Salty, what a list. :) I mean, just look at the doosies in week one alone:

1. Romney campaigning in Iowa on Sunday: “[W]hen the president went around at the beginning of his term and apologized for America around the world, it made us just heartsick.”

He’s lying;...

2. Romney on Fox News on Tuesday: “I’ve still got the same positions on the issues I had four years ago. My record as governor and my positions are pretty darn conservative.”

That’s not even close to being true.

3. Romney talking about his jobs record on Fox News on Tuesday: “[At Bain Capital], we helped create over 100,000 new jobs.”

Actually, no, he didn’t.

4. Romney in New Hampshire on Wednesday said President Obama seeks “a ‘European-style welfare state’ to redistribute wealth and create ‘equal outcomes’ regardless of individual effort and success.”

This isn’t just a lie, it’s also “Glenn Beck-level insane.”

5. Romney in a new campaign ad airing in South Carolina: “The National Labor Relations Board, now stacked with union stooges selected by the president, says to a free enterprise like Boeing, ‘You can’t build a factory in South Carolina, because South Carolina is a right-to-work state.’ That is simply un-American. It’s political payback of the worst kind.”

Romney has said this before, and he’s been told every time, he’s lying.

"He's lying"--that's great journalism right there.

They say the average male lies 4 times per day. Over 30 weeks, that would be 840 lies for the average person. People have called Mitt dishonest, I appreciate this article casting him in the proper light .. as far less a liar than the majority of us sheep.

Hmm. Every single time it says 'thats a lie', there usually a hyperlink leading to an article that attempts to verify that it IS in fact a lie. Just thought I would clarify for readers of this thread. I think that they probably tried to avoid essays explaining every lie in order to make it easy to read for people glancing over. Also, there also is a tidbit of info after the semicolon that you left out of the first question, which Im sure you're aware of. Just letting others know as well.

Interesting response.
Yes..... all of us lie a whole **** load, but most of us lie about our personal lives, and not about our political stances and accomplishments in the in the private sector.

When's the last time your buddy said he was 'for' abortion, and then 10 years later says "Oh no man, that's just wrong".

My post was to be taken tongue-in-cheek.

However, I find it odd that we hold our politicians accountable to never change their minds. I WANT a leader to seek information and have a willingness to change their minds based on new info or circumstances. It's ridiculous, to me, to think someone is considered disengenuous for changing an opinion. In fact, one of the great feelings I have during this life is win a have a true epiphany/paradigm shift .. I find it both humbling and like there's so much more to be learned.

Of course, saying one thing to be popular (or elected) only to reveal your true stance once elected is immoral, imo.

Agreed.

I don't have a problem with politicians changing their minds.
But at the same time, it's all telling of their personality and/or mental stability needed in order to hold the position of commander and chief.

In fact I myself considered myself to be a Democrat in the first 19 years of my life.
My position was, "Free money for all, free healthcare for all, and the Dems get things done, so I like them".
I was also completely hypnotized by the mainstream media at that point as well.

I do believe that Romney and Obama both say everything and anything to get elected, and will/already have pulled a 180 when they get into office.

I agree with this. plus, Bill Vaughan said, "We learn something every day, and lots of times it’s that what we learned the day before was wrong." i would rather the leaders of our contry admitted they are wrong when they are, change their views and continue progressing this country forward. rather then contniue in a stuborn path and waste 4 years of thier time and ours.

I cast my vote & then support the incumbents 100% so they can focus on doing the job we elected them to do instead of campaigning to their dumb *** constituents 24/7. Everyone hates the constant campaigning & money involvement yet they won't support elected representatives to do what elected representatives are supposed to do--make the wise decisions we're not capable of doing on our own.

Support your incumbent in 2012 (minus Hatch, of course).

So I take it you would've supported Bob Bennett then?
