Miye Oni can play the one

His vision was the best of all the players, he can handle the ball, had good passes and knew the plays. He has more technical skills than Dante Exum.

He could get the most minutes out of the 2nds as he could compliment Mitchell, Conley and set-up the offense for the 2nd unit

JWF was the source of that. Team play was garbage. There were three plays were Oni made a good read.

He can barely dribble
JWF can barely dribble you are right. Oni on the other dribbled through three guys and did a nice pass to Willie Reid tonight. Here's a link his strengths. Number 5 is playmaking. I think if he wasn't Yale he would have played point on a more talented team.

JWF has good handles but Jevon Carter who was guarding him was playing outstanding defense. He wouldn't let JWF penetrate. The Griz had four players who played fairly substantial minutes for them last year, the best of whom was Watanabe. He was sometimes matched up with Brantley who held his own for the most part.

What do you mean he can barely dribble. I was just about courtside. That is a poor characterization of JWF. I don't even recall much of Oni playing PG. It was mostly Cousins and secondarily JWF.

1/3 of the time when JWF drove to basket he turned it over. He is a scorer and should be played like one.

Not true. He simply couldn't penetrate and when he tried too hard, he forced a pass or drove into traffic. Carter was on him like a glove; I was really impressed with Carter. One time JWF made a nice crossover to split the double team but Carter got his hand in and stole the ball. Carter may not have scored a lot of points but he was a good set up man with good handles and his defense was exceptional. Very strong player.

Oni is far too heavy to play point guard.
