Wes I can't especially because I really don't know anything about baseball (And when I say nothing, I mean nothing at all; actually the only baseball player I know is MJ lmao)

People that dont get soccer usually say that it's because there isnt enough scoring. If you got 7 points for a goal would it somehow be better? In football a 48 minute game usually has less than 12 minutes of actual game play. Soccer is closer to 60 minutes of action with 30 minutes of setup and fouls.

I will get off my rant. I need more sports in my life. Until then, I am out on the baseball thing. Baseball truly sucks.

We could make soccer draft based on current players from best leagues or all time best. Anyone else interested? I can't make threads so maybe someone else could do one not to crash the party here.

You just nailed why soccer is boring and why football is the most overrated sport in the world. But I'd still rather watch football than soccer. Football at least has some general excitement around certain plays, like a big push across the goal line or a hail Mary, or a big hit on the quarterback.

Soccer is just dudes running around on the field nonstop. Then they run the other way. Oh wait, they changed direction, now they are running the other way again. Yay?

I have impression you only watched like 10 minutes of some boring soccer match in your life. You sound like you have no idea about it. There are no exciting plays in soccer? Even if you take away the goals you still have: dribling, variety of passes,sliding tackles, goalkeeper saves. Even the match ending up in 0:0 may be exciting one to watch.

Soccer, Baseball, and Golf are all about the same for me. I enjoy playing all of them, especially soccer. But I find watching them generally boring. Soccer has some exciting plays but the vast majority of it is just running up and down.

Problem with soccer is that I could be watching the game with friends, leave for half an hour, come back and ask what happened while I was gone and likely get the answer, nothing really.

Nothing happens for so much of the game.

And 1-1 ties really suck.

I agree.
I won't watch baseball or golf on tv. I will watch soccer but it is pretty boring 80% of the time. The other 20% is pretty great.

Well IMO in soccer you have less but more powerfull and concentrated emotions...and even though sometimes soccer makes me sleep (some matches are SO boring - but I think is the same in all sports) I find that if you are quite keen on it you can also approciate the "running up and down".

Same in baseball. We went to a Dodger's game a couple years ago, got free tickets from work. It was my first MLB game in person. We were almost falling sleep so we went to get snacks. As we settled back into our seats they had a triple play. I saw it, my wife and daughter did not. And apparently 4/5 of the crowd didn't either. Barely a ripple through the crowd. Even me, having seen it and understanding that it's a rare play, was like "huh, how about that". Just boring to the end.

If your not emotionally invested baseball can be hard to watch. I tried to be a Soccer fan, and couldn’t.
