There is this website I visit frequently and it has a great system that allows the users like or dislike the entries, just like the jazzfanz except the dislike part, but the difference is there is also a function that allows you to be able to see the most liked entries of the day at a glance. It lists the best entries/posts of the day, like the "Today's Posts" function of the jazzfanz. I find it extremely useful since it's practically impossible to read or follow all the entries and threads to find and read the worthy posts. It is kind of the same situation with the fazzfanz too, for me. I am often not able to read and follow all of the threads and I realize that I miss many good posts most of the time. Sometimes I even miss some of the interesting news or updates that you could find only in the massive threads.
Honestly, I have no idea if it's technically possible but, it would be really wonderful if the jazzfanz had such a function. First and foremost, it would solve one of the biggest problems in the world, "the meaningless of the like system on the jazzfanz". Second, it would encourage the use of the like system, people would like the good posts much more, so that those deserved posts would go into the "Today's most liked posts" list. Third, when people sign in or check the site, they could see the best posts of the day in a quick fashion and a convenient way. (well, might not be the best posts necessarily but..) Fourth, well, I'm sure there is the fourth benefit too or even ten more benefits but I just can't think of any other right now.
But like I said, such a feature would be really really useful and handy and practical and convenient and even helpful and beneficial.
So anyway, that's it, just an idea I thought I should share. Thanks for reading.
