Motiejunas List Jazz as Potential Landing Spot

He'd be a reclamation project. I'd pay him the vet minimum, or maybe a little bit more if I had some inside info as to why his terrible last two seasons will get better on my team. Did he hire Steve Nash's back doctors?

At $2 million-ish, the Jazz shouldn't blink. Would add a dimension in terms of shooting/spacing/lineup versatility.

I think he would work good as offensive spark of the bench and may even close some games depending on matchups. Good passer and crafty around the basket. Individual defence is lacking though, he should be played as 4 with Gobert or as 5 only vs particular matchups. I doubt he will take less then 3-4 mil a year though...

So I think something like a 2 year 4 million dollar contract could seal it. 2 million a year is about double we paid Withey this past year. I think it's a solid deal and kind of a no brainer if that is all it takes. He is a good contrast to Bolomboy as a backup 5.
**** yes to that please.

He can shoot the 3 ball, right?

Motiejunas cant play the 4. You have to play him at the 5.

You can do both

I know. I just don't see what he brings to the team that justifies doing both. He's been injured the past two years with constant issues. Even before the injuries he was around 45% shooter at seven tall. Shot under 30% from three the bulk of his career. Around 60% from the line. Averaged under 5 boards. Averaged more turnovers than assists. Almost non existent on defense.

If we get him for cheap, great. We need a better backup 5. He has potential and he brings a different set of skills than Gobert which is nice. He isnt a 4 at all but he can play it for stretches and depending on matchups.

I think he could before he had all the back problems. I don't think he can play 4 any more.

I live in Houston. For a few years now I have thought this guy would be the perfect back up 5 for us.

He has a lot of skill. He really can be an incredible passer. I guess with him it's just about how consistent he can be. But hey, he is going to be a backup, not a starter.

We should probably see what Bolomboy can do before throwing money around at players on their way out of the league.
