I literally have no problem, none, not even .001% with the Muslim people. I have at least a dozen very good friends, close friends, that are Muslim.

I wish I had a more public platform to speak to the Muslim people.

What would I like to say?

The majority of Americans DO NOT hold Muslims accountable for the actions of the radicalized.
I think it's fair to hate those that kill in the name of any god, but I don't (and vast majority) allow a religious bias to flow to the Muslim populace.

I think I get it, in a small way... if I were Muslim I'd probably be defensive because it's assumed that my religion (and me) is hated because of the radicalized. I don't want to be hated so I become defensive.

If I had a voice, I'd yell it loudly... Let's all good and loving people lock arms, not divide, and do our best to create the dividing line between true good and evil. Religious barriers should be crumbled under the weight of love.
 
I play a feudalistic game online. This guy from Afganistan joins my alliances and was legit worried he would get the When I said from USA. I feel unfortunate are country portrays this image.

Great thread.

I have met two jazzfanzers. Great dudes. Most people I meet are awesome, and I have a ton of respect for them. I don't know a lot of muslims, but the ones I do know are pretty great.

I wish we could all take a step back, like literally the entire world take a break from our worldview and re-examine things a bit, and build a new worldview of love and mutual respect.

I fully understand that there are 1.6 billion Muslims in the world. I understand that there's probably well less than a million that cause the largest of the trouble. I'm WAAAAY ok with muslims. I'm ok with the LGBT community as well. I don't quite understand this, but I guess I don't have to.

I'm not ok with religious extremists of any sort. Any extremists, really(and if you really think I'm a liberal extremist, get a grip). Finding that line though... deciding that's where the "extremist" line is, well turns out that's hard. With something so difficult to see in the first place, trying to push others to adopt my vision of where the line is? That feels downright criminal.

Softy bs. We need to take a step forward, boots forward to eradicate these extremist dens of vipers. We need to spread democracy and freedom FROM religion to the backward Middle East and African tribalism. We need to continue building peaceful nations like we did in Japan and Germany and Europe. We need to fight Russian aggression and make everlasting peace w China by accepting there differences. We need to support Turkey in there hard times and quit pretending they are only allies when we need them to be. We should build a military base there that will control the areas around there that have been creating so much violence. We need to tell Saudi Arabs to turn towards democracy or we will pull out and get WTO to only allow free trade with nations that support human rights. Everyone who does not support Liberty will be tariffs 50% of sale value. They will pay all are taxes for us and there economies will become dead so we can have unlimited supply of cheap Chinese style labour.

Ah, democracy by force. So refreshing, not. No thanks.

If a nation wants to strive for democracy let's help them. But no thank you on forcing it on others and policing the world. We need to be involved but that does not mean being the police.

Why not when it is the most effective method for national security. Besides you do not care for basic human rights for your fellow man? Like little girls not being raped and stoned to death for answering the door in her pajamas.

I guess I am more of a humanitarian type.

False implied premise that all non democratic societies are this way.

Also forcing democracy on all nations and societies is not about national security. Another false premise.

Have you not seen Japan Germany Italy after we forced democracy down there throats? How bout southern Korea? How about Iraq? Mission Acomplished.
