What's new

My expectations for the Jazz this summer:

Yes, I do believe it is immature to let what a player did 7 seasons ago affect a decision made today. Especially when there is no downside to the player...other than some hurt feelings from 6-7 years ago.

That is what an immature person would do.

I think it shows a glimpse into their character as a professionally paid athlete. You can argue the converse but I'd rather not take the chance.

Sure it does. It happened once. On a team that wasn't going anywhere in the playoffs. Where Korver was really good friends with Deron, who was creating a mutiny in the locker room. It wouldn't shock me if Korver and Deron and Jefferson talked about breaking the record. Korver was also coming up on a free agent year and was looking at potentially his last payday.

Was it ideal what Korver did? No. Was he some horrible person that should never be looked at again. Absolutely not. The good he has done outside of basketball and the talent he brings to the table as a basketball player...I'd take him back any day.

Also, the fact that he has never had an issue with this before or after, with three separate teams, and was so successful when Snyder was at ATL...If we could get him back, it is a no brainer.

green is getting ignored.

Is it Christmas?

If you ignore me, what will you post about? BTW, your little obsession with me is kinda creepy. You aren't looking through my windows right now are you?

If you never respond to another one of my posts...well, that would be a happy day indeed.

Korver cost us a three seed. Only team better than us that year was the Lakers in the West. We had a small chance at beating them. It did upset other players and the front office that's why we didn't look at resigning him at all. It also hurt the team chemistry going forward and in the playoffs. I think that triggered a lot more with that team. Had we made the western conference finals as a third seed it could have changed that teams future. Had we made the western finals maybe something happens and we win that one series.

I never bought the argument that Korver caved on purpose. I buy much more the argument that D-Will became pissy when Korver was let go for nothing.

The Jazz' failure to retain talent was the poison in D-Will. It was the poison that cost SnM championships.

Korver admitted he stopped shooting to preserve his record so not sure who people wouldn't buy into that.

This was 100% Deron's problem. Utah let Korver walk, traded Brewer all to save money. Deron found out that making money was more important to the Miller's than winning.

Yep, its not like the Millers were paying luxury tax for the first time because they really wanted to win to honor the late Larry Miller.

Uhhh. slightly different things here. Just a little.

He cheated Utah. As such I see no reason to give him a second chance. Yes it's a little different but it makes the point.

I'm not angry or out to get him but no thanks on bringing him back.
