what phone should i get for me and my wife?

I have an old school flip phone still (so does my wife) and today i will be getting each of a smart phone!

Should i get the samsung galaxy s3, or the iphone 5, or something else?
 
Something to consider is that sometimes the data package on an android phone is cheaper than the data package on an iphone.

Im a cheap *******, which is why it has taken me so long to get smart phones. (i just paid of my xterra yesterday so since i dont have a car payment, i figured i could get us smart phones)
 
I just switched from the iPhone 5 to the Nexus 4 and love it. It's only compatible with GSM carriers (AT&T and T Mobile) though. I'd go Samsung Galaxy S3 or wait for the S4. You could also look at the Note 2 if you want a larger device that can double as a tablet.
 
I have an iPhone, but if I were doing it over, I'd probably go android.

And I concur with Salty's suggestion to install Tapatalk.
 
Tough choice.
Both are very good phones, and are at the top of the list in sales.
The iPhone does have a better reliability record.
Samsung makes a very nice phone (my previous phone) but they use plastic for most of the phone, where the iPhone is aluminum and has a nice feel to it. It's really light as well.

Battery life is amazing on the iPhone. Apple really has it nailed down when it comes to power management.

As stated, the S3 will be replaced soon by the S4, But the iPhone will also be seeing a replacement this year. Not as soon as the S3 though.

If you can take the size, the Note2 is a nice option as well. I like it, but it feels like I have a poptart in my hand when holding it . It could be handy though if you don't have a tablet, and want to use your phone as a tablet as well.

Really though, try all the phones out at the Vzw store that interest you. One good thing with Verzion. They have a 30 day return policy. If you buy the iPhone and don't care for it, take it back and pickup the S3 or vice versa. They will charge a restock fee though. Still not bad though.

What do I have?? An iPhone 5. What did I replace with it? A Galaxy Nexus (still have it).

I got the gs3 for myself and my wife wanted the iphone 5 so i got that for her.... I like the size and shape of the iphone 5 better but the look and the screen of the gs3. Plus i have a samsung tv, all in one desktop pc, and my old phone was samsung so im a little bias.

So how do i get this tapatalk thing? Go to the app store and search it i assume?

No, you should've done it at the store.

You need the tapatalk ready model which is the red GS3.

Just go back to the store tomorrow to sign up for it, I think it's like an extra $3.99 /mo on your data plan.
