My irrational Meyers Leonard acquisition thread

If I came across as argumentative, I apologize. I was simply showing the math as I understand the cap, which, admittedly, could be wrong as I’m no GVC on this.
I didn’t think you were being argumentative.
TB and Davis for Lebron. Money works according to infection
Because the money working was the crux of my argument.

I don’t like Leonard. I haven’t seen enough of him over the last couple of years to know what his pick-n-pop skills are.
But it is hard not to like this idea if all it costs us is Bradley and Davis, and if it also comes with a 2nd.

You’re irrational about Niang. Find some Visine and get droppin

I love Niang - he's probably the best pure shooter on the team along with Bogey. He can hit from virtually anywhere on the court at anytime. But I'm realistic too. He can't guard 3's, can't guard 4's. He's a net negative guy most nights.

It’s impossible to believe that you love a guy whom you also use as a symbol for something wretched.

Niang has been playing better since that post on Jazzfanz. I dont need to mention that it was around when the jazz released Jeff Green. Speaking of Green, does anyone really miss him? I mean, the idea of Green was awesome. But the form was not.

Leonard looked amazing against us in the Miami game. He would not be a bad pickup at all.

I think the Jazz are waiting to see what happens with Aron Baynes. The Suns almost bought him out before the season started so that he could go to a contender (and team of his choosing). If they don't make the playoffs (currently the 10th seed), there is a likelihood that they let him go to a team of his choosing (he's 33 years old). He's also a Spurs guy, and an Aussie. I can see him picking Utah, given the choice. That would potentially leave the Jazz to trade Davis and Bradley for another piece that they may need, or they could keep Bradley as the 3rd center (soon to be 2nd) and just trade Davis for someone who brings more shooting.

The Spurs are currently the 8th seed, and there are rumors that they might look to blow up their roster in order to gain in the draft. They are okay, but their two best players are 30 and 34 years old. If the Spurs look to blow it up, Dennis Lindsey is still well thought of there and has many friends and that's as often as not, the way NBA deals are made.

Davis for Marco Bellinelli works salary-wise, and the Jazz could always use more shooting.
Jakob Poetl's salary also works in a straight across trade for Davis, if Utah wants to keep 3 centers, and with Baynes being 33 yo, it might not be a bad idea.

At any rate, the trade deadline is always fun. :)

If the spurs blow things up then why not go for Bertans?

Edit... Bertans plays for the wizards. Kind of. He hasnt had many minutes. $7 mil per year. Not Baynes but he can ball.

Baynes or Bjelica

(Andy Larsen mentioned Bejlica's name in the Weekly Run... he clarified that he was just coming up with possible trade scenarios for Davis and knows that the Jazz have been interested in Bjelica in the past. I think its a shame the Jazz didn't get him last year. It would have been fun to have Rubio, Ingles, and Bjelica reunited.)

Are you high? He plays 30 minutes a game and is playing out of his mind.
I have been pining for him for a while now so I always check the box scores of wizards games. He hasn't played in a while. I don't know what's wrong with him but he must be injured.

I just googled his minutes and saw he had 0 minutes in the last three games and I didn't see that he was injured. So, no, I am not insane but I threw a different name in the mix with limited research while I took a crap.
