1. Lakers 58-24- duh
2. Portland 55-27- They are due to finally have a healthy season. If Oden plays 60+ games (big if), and Roy stays healthy, they will be the Lakers biggest threat because of their size. Matthews will have atleast one game against us where he puts up about 25 and hits 5 threes.
3. Dallas 54-28- We all know they are built for the regular season. Dirk will be Dirk. Kidd will be good. The "experts" will be claiming they are the biggest threat to the Lakers.
4. Utah 54-28-It will take a little while, but once they figure out how to play with each other, the chemistry will be great. Big Al will average 21 and 11, AK will play great for a stretch like last year but miss 20 games. Hayward will get some time, making us forget all about the loss of Korver.
5. OKC 52-30- Durant and Westbrook will improve, but they won't be as healthy as last year, when 4 starters played all 82 games. Their lack of an inside presence will be exposed.
6. Denver 52-30- This is assuming Carmelo stays. They still have a lot of talent, but with Martin already out for part of the season, their frontcourt lacks depth.
7. San Antonio 51-31- The addition of Tiago Splitter will offset the decline of Tim Duncan. However, Ginobili is the x-factor and if he cannot stay healthy, there is a chance they miss the playoffs all together. With Popovich as the head coach, and the improvement of George Hill and Dejuan Blair, however, I think they have enough to keep the window open a couple more years.
8. New Orleans 47-35- If Chris Paul is healthy, they should be able to grab the 8th seed. They will be fighting Phoenix, Houston and Memphis for this spot.
